So I'm just at the point where I've recruited the basic squad members and so I have a few thoughts on the game so far.

Who the hell came up with this? Flying the ship around was neat for about the first two minutes, now it's just an annoying time sink. Combined with the planet scanning mini-game this is just some bullshit way to artificially lengthen the game. i hope this is addressed in ME3

Well, I finished this last night and overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Now, I played through the game co-op, which is really how it is meant to be played. The co-op aspect makes it a good game. Try playing it single player though and... I'd call it mediocre at best.

I want to talk about scenarios in WAR. Some of you might know then from other games as Battlegrounds, but they are Scenarios here.

I believe there are 30 scenarios across the 4 Tiers: 3 in Tier 1, 3 in Tier 2, 6 in Tier 3, 18 in Tier 4. I haven't reached Tier 4 yet, and there is little to no information to be found on Tier 4 on the Internet.

The game does share somethings with WoW, mostly that it's an MMO, and that it plays like.. an MMO.

The grind that is typical of most MMOs is gone. I don't think I've ever experienced anything that feels like a grind. Rank progression has felt very natural, I've never felt like I'm stuck somehwere or like I'm getting ahead of myself.
