Fuck UPS, Amazon is awesome
Ordered a game from Amazon with one day shipping and they decided to ship it via UPS. I personally haven't had any problems with them before but since hearing about things that go on at their distribution place in town from a friend that used to work there I've been weary in using them.
So I've been sitting around today waiting for the package to show up when I hear the UPS truck outside, but don't hear the doorbell. Thinking that this was strange I checked to see if the package had been marked as delivered online and to my surprise it said that it was. So I check the porch and it's not there so I figured no biggie maybe he accidentally put it on one of the neighbor's porch. Turns out that it's not on any of the porches around me so I decided to call UPS. 15 minutes later they get back to me to tell me that the driver was going back to where he left the package to try and find it. Come to find out he delivered the packages for my street to the street before us and vice versa. Good news was that he knew where he left it, bad news is that it is now not where he left it and the people that live where he left it aren't home.
Bad thing is I had some sort of feeling that something would happen to the game in transit and that it would either be damaged or arrive later. I didn't think that it would be fucking lost. Worst thing is is now I feel like shit because of the simple fact that I can't do a damn thing about it.
Amazon on the other hand rocks. They must have already been contacted by UPS and they are shipping another copy of the game out free of charge. Just wish they didn't use UPS.

I love UPS. I do hate their throw a box and run tactics. They also run late to my house. BUT USPS is ass. Fedex is pretty cool.

Well the main reason that I don't like UPS is because of what I've heard happens at their distribution center here in town from a friend that used to work there.
On another note Amazon sent the game fedex this time so I shouldn't have any problems. |

For my area, UPS is awesome, FedEx is a bunch of ninjas that will just leave stuff on the porch without any attempt to see if anyone's home, USPS always sucks, and DHL passes off everything to USPS, but charges more to ship.
