Looking to Game.

How many times have you found yourself spammed with game invites on xbox live when you just want to sit back and watch a movie?

Or have you felt the urge to play a game, but couldn't find anyone else playing that game?

I've always wondered why Steam & Xbox live don't let you add a "Looking to play" status.

I know that on steam it would be really helpful in finding others who are around there computer and would like to play left 4 dead, but don't want to spam everyone for invites.

This would help even more for Steam groups that have more than 50 people online, as you could just filter people in that group currently looking to play the game you want and send them each a message.

Same thing for the xbox. I'd love to just say (looking to play Gears 2 Horde mode) and have friends who are interested, message me.

Or If you are watching a movie, and you want to be online in case someone needs to reach you for something important, but don't want those pesky game invites.

Maybe I need to find other services to use as Instant message systems, but I do hope that one day that these services will give us more options than just "Online, Away, Busy, Offline"
