I really like bassy songs.. like really.

Had an epiphany today... Well maybe not thats not the word for it. Uhm.. Where do I begin?
I don't know what it is, but whenever a song with tons of bass comes on I feel alive. I feel powerful, dangerous, ninjaesque, like I could take on all comers. It pumps me up and gets my blood going. I use it as motiviational tool. I don't normally feel like that otherwise, that could just be the civility in me. I look at myself in the mirror and I think what could someone see in me? I've been a pretty shallow husk since i've become recently single and the one constant that keeps me going is music. I love all variety of music, like I am a jack of all trades, when it comes to music. I'm not a huge country fan, or easy rock but if it has a message or a catch or hook I am down for it. I am just a music fan, and i'm always broadening my horizons.
I have all this energy throughout the day (some might say hyperactive) and my way to exert it, is i'll listen to really heavy music be it power metal, death metal, or hardcore techno when most weekend warriors will go for and overdue themself at some night club in a wild binge, i'm more than happy to do it at my own pace in my own medium. This can occur throughout the week. Music has a way of drawing on ones emotions, and sucking you in. I've gone through the gamuts listening to music. As an example look at how effective music is in evoking sadness, happiness, sorrow, such as in media. Tell me Lord of the Rings or Shawshank Redemption wouldn't be as great without their amazing scores. Another example is composer Nobuo Uematsu's amazing talent in the popular video game Final Fantasy Series and most recently co-composed Lost Odyssey.
I would like to think I have some pretty good taste in music. I am my mother's son after all (shout out!), and she is the bomb when it comes to music. Ok so i'm biased, but that's my prerogative. She made a statement to me a while ago that stuck with me and it's that I like 'tinny music.' When she said this I asked her to specify what she meant. She said I like music with lots of cymbals. I could only assume she means Hi-Hat's. After this I went home and listened to various tracks and noticed she was right. I found myself listening more closely to or singling out specific instruments, riffs, samples, tempos, harmonys, all from a simple observation, spurred by a random mixed bag CD I had just burned for my ma. Has it ruined my taste in music, someone would ask? Nope I don't think so. Honestly it's only enhanced it, or enlightened it. Now i'm more of an audiophile because of this. I came to the realization that I listen to a lot of bass, or heavy drums. Something that pounds, thuds, thumps. Makes your ear drums bleed. If I had a dollar for everytime someone told me to turn the bass down, i'd be a rich man.
I'm trying to start something here be it a general discussion or debate. I just wanted to share my opinions on what I like about my music and how it makes me feel. If its one thing anyone can agree on it's that they enjoy music. If you don't enjoy music then you, sir or ma'am, are a robot. You are not human. Seriously, the metaphor "Music makes world go round" is true. During the Renaissance when classical music and more advanced instruments were pioneered and introduced war wasn't as prevelant. At least it wasn't dominating the world up to that point. Prior it was a way of life for most. Royalty, Despots, Dictators, Emporer or any of the powers that be would take in concerts, operas, or theatre. I think this would have an impact or effect on them either for worse or better but mostly worse. Music is the greatest invention and I believe inspired more civility and humanity in us all.
Fast foward to the 21st century and the population of Earth has increased exponentially since those ages and now that music is heard in all types of genres. It's also reach the four corners of the world, and we as a race now have easy access to it. It's made us all the better. Each generation will have it's Hitler's, Stalin's, Hussein's, or Rasputins. Music was more than a motiviation for them as well. Young or old, various ethnicitys, or man or woman. Music doesn't discriminate. It's always a constant. Like time and space.
I've rambled on and I i've gotten carried away. So here's the point. I'm gonna post to you my friends my favourite 'Bassy songs.' If you aren't ready for the bum rush then turn back now. If you wanna come on the ride, bring some ear plugs with you, and turn your woofers up! Here we go! Also if you could share some of your favourite songs in here leave a comment. I will definetly listen to it and give you my opinion. I appreciate you taking the time to look through this note.
