Self control is a bitch

When it comes to times like these where every week there is a new game I want to play, it's tough not to run up the credit card.
This week it's Fallout 3. Next week it's Valkyria Chronicles and Resistance 2. The week after that it's Mirror's Edge and Eternal Poison, and the week after that it's Tomb Raider Underworld. It would be really, really easy to run up hundreds of dollars in games this month alone.
I still haven't finished any of the games I've been working on, but considering what I'm choosing to play it's no surprise. Soul Calibur 4 still has me hooked, although some local guys are having weekly tournaments, so I think I might cut back on my online play and just play with them once a week. I don't think I'm ever going to have the time to dedicate to being tournament competitive on it, so casuals once a week will have to do.
I am also addicted to Far Cry 2, but I see that getting scaled back soon as well since I definitely feel the repetitiveness creeping up on me. It's still a fantastic game with a phenomenal engine, but it might be time to dedicate time elsewhere.
Which means I'm probably going to be focusing on Disgaea 3 and The Witcher when I'm not playing Little Big Planet with the girlfriend. The Witcher is a good one since I can actually *finish* that game, unlike Disgaea 3 which basically goes on forever. Maybe after I've run through the story of Disgaea and finished off The Witcher, I'll start getting new games.
The good news is I've decided that unless a game has fantastic multiplayer that I'm going to want to play online when it comes out, I'm not going to buy any more games. Instead, I'm trying to use Goozex exclusively for new games. I have a few thousand points saved up for new titles that I want, so hopefully I can get the games I've been looking forward to for a few bucks + trades instead of shelling out hundreds more dollars. With the economy down and the girlfriend starting college instead of working full time, trading for games will definitely be a welcome change.
