Lacking any subforum to pop this into, I'll just toss it here, as I feel it fits.
I'm a long-lapsed programmer looking to re-develop my skills, and probably even mess with some modeling. I suppose I'm just curious if we have anyone else around here that dabbles in the gamedev or modding scenes. I'm considering any number of things from DS homebrew to an Oblivion mod. Anyone with some ability looking to take someone under their wing and offer advice?
Perhaps even collude on an idea or two? There were hopes of once doing a NWN mod a while back at EvAv, but that fell apart. Maybe if I can learn to pull my weight, we could do something.

Dude you stumbled on to something I was thinking about. An Oblivion-esque handheld game. All open ended and stuff. Less Eastern looking.

I must admit that no, it didn't do it for me. (Assuming you're talking about the recent FPS. If you're talking about the universe, then I have no feelings one way or the other!)
