Moving Out

So those of you in the know, now I'm getting a divorce. Well, it's more of a separation, due to Alberta laws stating two people have to be separated first for a period of one year (!) before they can file for divorce.
I want to fix things, but I've decided I'm done now that I've signed my new lease and placed the security deposit. Now I'm just gonna move forward and not wait around for whatever might happen, if anything.
Hope can be a pretty damning thing, honestly. If you hold onto it when you shouldn't it literally just eats away at you. I feel awful still (Depressed, stressed, etc) but I'm getting better now that I'm focusing more on moving forward than holding onto things.
I move in Aug 31. and it's a decent enough place.
And everyone who's shown me kindness and support (and yes, even cruelly harsh tough love
) I appreciate it. This is just another part of my life and I'm adjusting. I know things will get better with time, I just wish none of this was happening in the first place.

Glad to here you are doing OK-ish. I'm a few years older I think but I haven't had the same life experience so it's difficult to imagine your pain. Sounds like you are handling it the best you can though.

Yeah...I'm turning 30 at the end of October, so this is all kind of a life changing experience for me in several ways. I just know I'll always do my best to be there for my son.
