I have a bad habit... that I really need to break. I can't stop upgrading my cell phone...

In one year I've gone through this progression.

Motorola Q (1yr) -> Palm Centro (4 months) -> HTC Titan/Mogul (4 months) -> HTC Touch Diamond (just ordered)

I obviously get my phones out of contract so today I spent $380 on the HTC Diamond. I recoup some of the loses by selling my current phone. I'll get around 200 back from the Mogul on ebay. But still... bad habbit that I need to stop.

I might end up getting the Touch Pro in a few months, and that may be followed by the first Sprint Android phone.

My old roommate went through that many phones in a year, but it was because they kept being involved in unfortunate mishaps. One of his phones is at the bottom of Cape Canaveral, and the other fell into a cup of iced tea. I forget what happened to the others, but that kid is bad news bears with phones.

Haha... I don't really recall doing this but I guess I was dipping my Mogul in pitchers of beer last night at the bar.

My mogul is falling apart....

I have a friend I don't see that often. Whenever I text him (2/3 month gaps) he asks who it is because he's destroyed his old phone and lost his numbers. Apparently his insurance covers breaking a phone in ways he's to embarrassed to tell me.

Geez. Ever think of getting one of those silicone "armor" shells, or some kind of protective cover?

My cousin (just turned 18) accidentally trashed the iPhone she worked all summer to buy because she didn't think it looked cool with the case on.

Also, some people are preternaturally not careful.

iPhone...seriously. It's the last phone I expect I'll need.

I'm upgrading to a Blackberry Storm just as soon as it's available from an 8830. Can't wait, especially since work pays for it.

I am also on my fourth phone this year.

I began with my LG VX9800 ("The V") which I've had for two years and have hated it for so long. I upgraded to some shitty Motorola pseudo-RAZR, which I took back after a week for the Samsung Glyde. I hated the Glyde, too. The touch screen was horrible and the phone had bad reception--no matter where I went, I never got more than one bar of signal. I took the Glyde back and got a BlackBerry Pearl, which I love (except for Verizon blocking access to my GPS except through their software).

Whenever I get a new phone I treat it so very carefully. Overtime though when I get bored of it I just tend to start beating on it. I the Touch Diamond should last a little longer than my others though due to it having like 4x the RAM of my Mogul. Less slow down means fewer frustrations which means a happy Brady. Also the VGA screen looks too sexy to disrespect.

That is of course... unless I decide to get the Touch Pro when it comes out next month.....

I am the same way with phones. Any other piece of electronics I baby to death, but I just beat the shit out of phones. One I actually threw at the cement because my ex-girlfriend was calling and I didn't want to talk to her (I was drunk, obviously).

I've had this phone almost a year though and it still works wonderfully. I'm apparently growing up.

I've gone through a few phones this year. I started out with a Sony Ericsson w300i, which I'd had for about a year and a half. In August, I bought a Palm Centro and used that for about a month, loved the phone but hated the Operating System. I sold that and bought a Nokia N95, which I've now had for about a month and a half and am enjoying for the most part.

Now, I just bought a broken iPhone 3G on ebay (very cheap) and hope to either fix it and play around with it, or fix it and resell it (touchscreens are awesome, but I need physical keys personally).

I am a phone addict.

I will be getting my first phone here pretty soon.

I'm thinking of a Blackberry 8120.

I would get paid $50 to pick it up.
