So, anyone else watching the England game going right now? Halftime atm but a great game so far although I think England has missed too many opportunities to score.

Wolcott's footwork is just amazing, I might add. :D

2-0. Kazakhstan really seem to be vulnerable at set pieces and crosses.

Well 5-1 but the scoreline was a little flattering, they really self destructed at the end.

Cole's fuck up was abysmal but it was great to see England rally and cement their win. The two headers by Rooney were fantastic!

Wait, when's the next World Cup? I thought it would be in summer of 2010. Last one was in the summer of 2006, right?

There's a buttload of teams competing to play the WC. Takes time to get them all qualified around regular seasons.

Yeah given when the football season is and without essentially forcing them to play another competition by chucking all the qualifiers over a summer it'll take a while to get through the competing nations.

Bah. Norway screwed up against Scotland. Our prize striker, John Carew, is great - fantastic even, at everything exept finishing. Instead Scotland got the biggest chance which they fortunately blew. A miss which will be featured in "greatest misses"-videos for a long time.
