Can I download the MGS PS1 release for the PSP directly to the PSP or do I need a PS3 which I don't have?

WOW!!! Holy s**t...thx guys...I had no frackin idea you can do that.

I have had this PSP, the Star Wars slim edition, for almost two years now. I actually bought it for my kids;however, they totally ignored it and showed no interest in it, so I claimed it for myself.

It is an awesome piece of hardware.

Thanks again for the eye opener. I'm glad that I posted the question.

You can just download it from the store directly on the PSP as long as you have a WiFi connection handy.

It's nice to hear the PSP is considered a good handheld now. Back when I got mine, the only thing it was good for was hacking and playing NES games :D

Might have to start fiddling with it again. What can I do with a PSP while also owning a PS3? I honestly have no clue about the features and would like to hear other people's impressions and what they've done with theirs. Might justify finding whatever box mine is hiding in.

Some games will have extras unlocked. Resistance Retribution unlocks some weapons in Resistance 2, an "Infection" mode for the PSP game that gives your character the health regen, and with a cleared savegame, the ability to play the game on your TV with your PS3 controller.
Assassin's Creed PSP unlocks special weapons in Assassin's Creed 2.

Remote play works for some games, LEGO Batman, Lair and Pixeljunk Monsters support it, and I believe PS1 games do as well, though I'm not entirely sure.
