I had to revive this thread, as I sent a drunken text message last night that has the potential to be the best text I ever sent, or one of the worst.
It was to a very pretty girl (all the best drunken texts are) who I work with. We get along really well and I've been debating asking her out for like a month, but my excessive shyness has always stopped me.
Now as any good drunken slob knows, nothing takes away shyness quite like alcohol.

I'll now write out the message, but I'll tidy it up a bit for your sake. I'm actually quite impressed that I managed to write out something like this after (or maybe during) half a bottle of Jack and 3 beers. Anyway:

"Hi Amy. You have no idea how many times I've written this out and been too shy to send it. I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me sometime? I really like you and I know it sounds really cliche but I can't stop thinking about you. I honestly don't remember the last time I felt so strongly about someone. Okay, a few weeks ago, I had "the talk". The talk was about her seeing another man "as a friend". She later admitted to having a crush on him. Okay, she admitted it. That's fine, she promised me it was just a harmless crush (on a man 14 years older than her, but he's a handsome man and works with her).

Soooo...we go away on vacation, have another talk...everything seems good.

Come back, this whole week, she's been kind of "off", secretly texting, etc...

So, I do the unthinkable today. Something that has made me regret it morally, but not regret that I did it. She's at a hair appointment. I'm home alone...I fire up her computer :o...and check her email. Of course, there's nothing, but not being a techie, she deleted emails, but not her trash.

Now, I pride myself on my morals. It's part of my job...but I started prying...and prying...there are the emails such as "I can't wait for that hug", "Hi sexy"...then the kicker:

Him: You should say hi to your parents from me.

Her: What? Like, hey <name> says hi. Who is he? Oh, he's the guy I'm counting down the days to have sex with.

So, I confront her about it on the phone (couldn't wait until she got home)...she starts off saying how dare I look at her emails...loss of privacy, yada yada. Yes, I feel really guilty having to snoop, but I shouldn't have ever felt the need.

For me, I feel like this is just fate. I cheated on my ex, now my current gf is cheating on me. The shoe is on the other foot and I accept that.

Did I do the right thing by snooping? I feel so guilty about her bringing up the invasion of privacy issue. It seems I was right though. I saw exactly what I expected.

She is on her way home now. She says she is feeling annoyed. I'm already packing. She shall see my truck in the garage, with the back off...ready to start moving. I expect to be out tomorrow. Part of me is sad to leave her, but the other part is excited about the bachelor life again.

No one should be in a relationship where they are questioning it's integrity every day. In my mind, she broke that trust with her relationship with this guy...and I broke her trust by snooping.

For what it's worth, in your shoes I probably would have done the same thing. Having the nagging suspicion constantly in the back of my mind would have driven me to find the truth one way or the other.

I was throwing beers down all night. I threw up for the first time due to beer last night, but got everything in a washer, laid new sheets, this morning I cleaned and bleached everything and I still had time to lay around. That feels like an accomplishment, because I like being a clean person.

I don't remember part of last night, also a first.

I got to kiss a beautiful lesbian, who was using me for my beer.

Tonight I'm starting off with a six-pack of Sierra Nevada's "Torpedo Extreme IPA", and then finishing the night with a 4-pack of Boddington's Pub Ale.

I'd never had either. The Torpedo is... okay. I'm generally a fan of IPAs, but this one has something lingering in the aftertaste. An almost... bad chemical taste, if that makes any sense. Looking forward to trying the Boddingtons, though. Also looking forward to being really drunk.

EDIT: Just cracked open a can of this Boddingtons - definitely dig it. It's a nice ale to drink as a breather from the harshness of this IPA.

I was also fourteen.) and did my Ancient Civilizations home work, while watching Arabian Nights dubbed in what sounded like German, with subtitles in French and from time to time, Chinese. Only people in Alaska can trump my cold telling abilities.

I find that one drink three hours after 3 cups of coffee is the perfect mix for great skillz in MW2. More drinks and you lose reaction time, no drinks and when the caffeine wears off you get irritable fast. This is the only way I can compete with some of those kidz with skillz I game with. I'm telling this story here because I have nowhere else to tell it.

Last night I get out of a production of Much Ado About Nothing, and this girl asks me to go out for drinks with her friends. We've flirted a little, but she has a boyfriend and seems damaged and I'm just not about to get involved in that.

I get to the bar and I see that one of her friends is pretty cute. She got her degree last year and works at the library, we're all making small talk, beers, more beers, blah blah blah. After the dating advice thread I decide to give life a shot and start inching my leg under the table towards hers to see what will happen; I don't want her to slap me in the face or anything but what the hell.

To make a long story short, after more beer and tequila shots in an hour or so both of her legs are wrapped around mine and the evening is going swimmingly. But despite my tepid responses to the girl who invited me (what with her having a boyfriend and all), her hand is on my other leg.

We go to walk her home and I am with two drunk girls who will not stop kissing each other in the street, both of which are at least slightly older than me. And when we get to the graduate dorm, it's very obvious they want me to stay.

As far as I am concerned, I now have the right to commit one mortal sin and have it instantly absolved. I left that room, and took the girl's friend home with me. But oh God did I hate everything, everything, when those two girls were making out on the bed and all that stood between me and debauchery was Jiminy Motherfucking Cricket.

I need some more beer.

Almost every single girl I've known has stayed in relationships that were over until they found the next relationship. Apparently being with someone and miserable is much better then being single. Makes no sense to me, but there it is.
