I drank lots and lots. Tonight's demon of choice (as picked by my hosting friends) was vanilla vodka mixed with coke and jello shots. Apparently I get really good at playing ZSS in brawl whilst drunk. I also get really good at text flirting CAUSE I'M COOL. I also won a dollar off of my roommate in SSF4 Money Matches. He was sober. Fuck yeah Ibuki.

Work Christmas party last night...woke up this morning in a strange bed with a woman I've never seen before in my life.
On the bright side, two kids didn't come bursting into the room, so it turned out better than the last time this happened. I think I'm getting better at...whatever it is I did.

I drank some awesome Belgian beers last night, got a little drunk, insulted my date, rode the buses all over town, and finally ended up back home around 1 or 2 am. I had a pretty wicked hangover when I woke up an hour ago.

It's a good drink to try if you ever go out to a bar, because a double will last you quite a while. Red is the cheapest, and is made with mixed drinks in mind. Black is the next stuff up and tastes exquisite.
I had a dream that I had to save Earth from aliens, and my only weapon was a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black. I had never had it before, and tried a glass the next day. It was destiny.

Then at the bar I had six jack and cokes before getting cut off and heading to the other floor's bar for 3 tall PBR. Oh and I had some Harp at the Irish Pub with lunch before all that...so I guess 10 beer and 8 mixed drinks. It was a good day and I didn't even have a hangover the next morning. Also, with Four Loko it's hit and miss. Some of the flavors taste all right and others are closer to vomit. I prefer the Orange, Lemon Lime, and Lemonade flavors. I found out the other night that mixing a Strawberry Kiwi Joose with a Lemonade Four Loko is pretty nice. I've been kind of addicted to the Tilts lately. The red Tilt and the purple Tilt are pretty good.
Also, I'd like to mention, that Four Loko is not banned. They were just forced to reformulate. If you have the right connections, you can still get the Four Lokos with caffeine too. ;) There's a little shop owned by some Indians down the street from where I live that sell the old stuff. You gotta make 'em remember you. "OH BLACK ASS, why didn't you moon us before aye?"

Did some drinking this weekend, got to the stage where I was willing to dance even (not supper drunk but still drunk). It helps when a good looking chick asked me to however. So danced with her on off for most of the night. Overall a pretty fun night out at the bar.
I wish I was a better dancer (I don't think I am good at it so don't like to do it). The girls always tell me that I am doing at least alright (some have said I have done a good job) but I think they are just being nice. Two stepping is not to hard though, so you think it would be easy to pick it up. I think I get too tense (worrying about being bad) and so that fucks up my dancing. We were dipping and twirling pretty good by the end of the night though (I think).

I don't think so. It's been probably 12 years or so since I last drank a whole bottle of the purple sizz-urp. But all it needs to have is Dextromethorphan, which Robotussin DM still contains.
I know you can get straight pill form of DXM over in Europe. I always wanted to try that stuff.
They reduced the amount of that active ingredient considerably, is what I'm saying. I didn't mean to go on a yellow-submarine type trip, I was just trying to quickly address a sore throat when I was 15, and ended up on a 4-hour journey of sights and sounds. The auditory hallucinations started out fun and escalated to terrifying pretty quickly. Now I understand you can drink more and achieve the same effect, but probably not accidentally anymore.

I much prefer rum and sprite or rum and orange soda. Tastes like cream soda or a creamsicle respectively.
Some of my best relationship talk happens when I'm drunk! That's when I do all my best shameless flirting with girls who might be interested in me but are doing a good job hiding it, too.

Monday I went out and bought a Sam Adams Holiday Collection variety pack. I've been trying them over the past few days. The White Ale is definitely my least favorite. The Old Fezziwig Ale I tried last night and it's excellent. My favorite is a split between the Chocolate Bock and the Holiday Porter. They are pretty good for a Mega brewery. This past weekend I bought, against my better judgment, a Shipyard variety pack. I'd rate the whole 12-pack a solid C-. I'll probably never buy them again, though I did really enjoy the Pumpkin Ale that was in there. It tasted like a piece of pumpkin pie! I also bought a pint of Young's Double Chocolate Stout and thought that was pretty tasty.

Haha, I watched Groundhog Day yesterday as well. All this talk of the movie, made me want to watch it again.
My wife and I went to the Orlando Improv last night with some friends. Bert Kreischer was the headliner, from Bert the Conqueror on Travel Channel. He was pretty funny, it was interesting, because he started doing his routine, but about 2 minutes in, he got to talking with some black people in the front row and the entire rest of the show was improvised. Was a good show, and I had a good time.
On topic with this thread, I ordered a Purple Haze raspberry wheat beer. It was a little sweet for my liking. I then decided to get a Guinness to balance it out. On the menu they had what was called a Back Porch Brew. None of us knew what that meant, but it turns out it was PBR. Still not sure why they called it Back Porch Brew.

Do you like wheat beer? Do you like a touch of raspberry? Do you like your beer sweet?
If you said yes to any of those questions, give it a try. It's not bad, it's just not my thing. I would say no to all those questions.

According to my wife it was the drunkest she'd ever seen me, and maybe anyone. Apparently on our walk home from the bar I promised to:
Protect her from muggers.
Not be able to protect her from vampires, but if they did get her I asked if she would wait before making me one until I lost a little more weight.
Kick the shit out of the sun if it came up too soon.
Try not to cry if someone hit me.
Clear the street of any robots that might be pretending to be humans.
Stop a car with my knees if it was going to hit her. (wtf)
Other, assorted rambling nonsense.
She also said I asked for a bowl (but not our nice bowl) and I emphatically told her I didn't need an alarm clock because my internal one had never failed me.
I had a gloriously worded drunk post the other night, I actually made it through a great story, and the forum ate my post with an "expired token" message or some shit.
If I retell it, it will end up in the Dating Advice thread. It has nothing to do with the girl I'm dating, and instead with an encounter I had with a girl who, I think, tried and failed miserably to "neg" me at a bar. Girls are nuts, that's why I drink.

Anybody had Genesee beer?
http://www.esquire.com/cm/esquire/images/10-Genesee-Cream-Ale-062510-lg.jpg
I found this 22oz. can of Genesee Cream Ale at the local quik mart for .99 cents. That's right....I said .99 cents. Let's just say I didn't expect much for the price, as a matter of fact I figured I'd probably taste it and throw it down the drain.
However, I was very, pleasantly surprised. This is not a bad beer at all! How do they get away with selling it so fucking cheap?! Taste wise, I'd put it up there with Coors Regular. Not great, but not bad either, pretty damn drinkable. They even have an Ice version that's 5.5% APV for the same price.
If you don't have but a buck in your pocket and you want to drink a beer I highly suggest you look for this stuff. You won't be let down, I assure you!

Drinking fun new beers tonight. A Betelgeuse from Mill St. Brewery. Sweet as hell, and somehow 8.5% abv. Tastes like a sweet light beer.
Also had a Lemon Ice Tea beer from the same brewer (bought a sampler pack). It was a wheat beer, so the sweetness matched. Plenty more scheduled for tonight, bought 10 assorted beers.

I'm trying to give my liver and waistline a break, so I have pretty much stopped drinking. As a direct resulted, as well as doing 6-7miles per day on a bike, plus about 1-2 miles a day of walking, I am down about 6 lbs and its only been a week.
So, obviously it works!
That said, I drink a lot of beer for a reason, and its not just alcohols lovely goodness! I like beer, and don't really like pop, milk or sugars. This basically leaves me beer and water to drink as beverages, and after my 2 or 3 litres of water a day, it gets pretty old.
So i've been trying a plethora of non-alcoholic / de-alcoholized beers, and fuck are they all terrible. In the past I tried Molson and Labatts versions, but frankly... both are pretty shitty beers BEFORE you remove the alcohol. After, it tastes kinda like gingerale with piss and iron filings poured in. Becks I just purchased and frankly its just about as bad ( and damned near the same price as a full 6 pack! ). I also tried O'douls and its about the closest to real beer as I've found yet, but still not great. PC also makes a beer ( brewed by Labatt :( ), but at least the amber lager isn't horrible.
Has anyone out there ever found a decent non-alcohol beer?

If your goal is to lose weight, why are you drinking non-alcoholic beer? It's not like the alcohol is what makes you fat. It's the carbs and calories. I don't see how non-alcoholic beer would be better for your waistline than the real thing.
Just drink regular beer in moderation. Trying to switch to non-alcoholic sounds like a bad idea to me.

Actually, its signifigantly lower. The last beer I had (Becks) is 60 calories per bottle. Thats 40-50% less than most beers. Also, my liver thanks me.

Switch to vodka.
Everybody that drinks has that one liquor they did something really really really stupid with, and the mere smell of it causes a gag reflex. For many people, its tequila, quite often its dark rum. For me, its Vodka.
17 years have passed since that fateful night, and still the thought of drinking vodka turns my stomach.
That said, nothing a few tequila shots can't take care of!
Actually, I'm a rye guy. With my addictive personality though, the idea of regularly drinking heavy liquors isn't really one I embrace. I like my beer, a lot, but I can go weeks at a time without one. But liquor, too many people I know that have "a nightcap", show signs of physical addiction. After the shit I went through kicking cigarettes, no fucking thank you to the idea of another addiction. Well, except my crack, but that doesn't count.

Jagrbombs are brutal. They taste wickedly good, and keep you going. They are super dangerous though, as you wake up the day after still drunk but thinking you are completely sober.
I went out after a hockey tournament, with a group 10 years younger than me, and it was round after round of jagrbombs. Night went till about 3 am, then I went and crashed, woke up around 8am and drove home, felt completely and utterly sober. Quick math on the number of drinks / amount of time elapsed and I would have broken a breathalizer.
Will say though, about 7pm the day after my body simply collapsed and I was in zombie sleep mode for 11 hours.

Your liver metabolizes alcohol to sugar- straight ethanol has 7cal/g, while sugar and other carbs have 4 cal/g and fat has 9cal/g. Non-alcoholic/virgin versions of drinks save you quite a bit of calories once it all adds up. It also benefits from the probability that you'll drink fewer, since you're no longer drinking to get a buzz.

So Canadian if you're trying to lose weight and still be able to drink up, go Atkins. Granted, I'm pretty sure I've done some unpleasant things to my liver.

My mom pretty much lives Atkins these days, with some minor exceptions. Before she was pretty seriously in to it and lost about 20 lbs over all. I can attest to the results. My wife did South Beach a while back and lost weight right away, and I believe SB is pretty much Atkins in disguise.
My, being a carnivore, I pretty much live the atkins diet anyways. I just couldn't give up bread... I don't eat a ton of it, but a hamburger isn't a fucking hamburger without a bun!
Besides, I don't really need to change my diet. I drank easily a case of beer a week. Thats about 3000 calories a week. Taking 3k calories out of your diet and exercising should be more than enough.

No. But when I do, I prefer something cheap and light.
Yes, frankly most of the very goodbeers are too heavy to drink in bulk. That said, there are readily available 'good' beers available cheaply, so cost isnt even a good excuse for drinking mass market domestic piss.

I despise baileys, except as a coffee liquor, in which case its divine. Few things beat a 6am t-time with a thermos full of baileys and coffee.

Exactly. I don't drink to get trashed.
Besides, there after many good beers with high ABV. Two or three and I'm set.

It's not just cost, when you're out drinking in Texas it behooves you to keep it light and honestly a little watered down. A single Guinness on a hot Texas night might put you into hibernation- after you get rid of the sweats.

I'm no beer snob. I have no qualms about drinking a 12 pack of Coors Light. I don't generally get trashed though. It seems like really hard work trying to drink enough beer to get wasted.

While Gold is good, Blue is the nectar of the gods. Aged even longer, smaller batches, and a fantastic woodsy flavor make it downright amazing. It's just too bad that no bars really stock the stuff, and if they do it's downright expensive. It was $9 per shot at Weber's, but I finished off that bottle before New Years and they still haven't gotten another. :(

Bud Light. Not because it tastes good, but you'll fit in better.
In seriousness, if you find yourself up near Orlando you should stop by the Orlando Brewing. They've got quite a selection (I suggest the Blonde Ale on a hot sunny day like today), and it's brewed here and is all organic.

There should be a warning label on tequila, may induce extreme drunken behavior as well as severe hangovers. I had my first tequila drink at 17 and gave it up after turning 21. I wonder how I am still alive from that period of drinking. Actually I wonder how I still have a liver...

Drank way too much today. It's amazing how a couple of hours in town to watch the football turns into an all day drinking and gaming session. If I didn't have to be at work tomorrow I'd still be out now.
As it is, I'm being responsible and going to bed before I get to the falling over stage of drunkenness which would see me call in sick tomorrow. Currently sat at home with an apple, pear and red grape smoothie. In my mind, this will help balance out all the alcohol.

While the B vitamins that that smoothie will offer are good for anti-hangover. The best thing you can do is chug a few glasses of water before you pass out. Lots of water is (from my experience) the best anti-hangover medicine.

You might be getting allergic. Some people are just allergic to gluten- try to find a gluten-free beer and see what happens!
Then, try a shot of a more pure alcohol... say, vodka or tequila or scotch. As allergy experiments go, things could be worse :)
