I checked Gamefly for a roundabout release date. They have 5/30. I put this on my Que. Also going to suggest this for ADDGirl to use at her internship. They have a Wii for recreation. I think this title would be a blast for them there.

Marvelous is still assuring everybody that Little King's Story is coming out, announcing yet another release date. Unless another delay is in the forecast, the latest news should make European Wii owners happy: European publisher Rising Star Games is planning to release the game on April 24, before it comes out anywhere else.

The last announced North American release date for the town-building RPG was February 17, but XSEED said even before then that the game was likely to be delayed -- which it obviously has. GameStop currently has a May 15 release date -- not to mention an adorable pre-order bonus!

I was at Best Buy and couldn't find this game for the life of me. I had just read a few reviews for it (the Eurogamer review sold it), so I assumed it was in stores. FALSE! When I got home I realized we still had almost two months before the game comes out in the US.

I picked this up today, but I think I'll pass it on to my girlfriend. It seems like a good game, but I just feel it's not for me.

Something that really bugs me though, is that I get some strange "interlacing" issues in the game. I have the Wii set to 480p and my receiver to upscale it to 1080p, but in-game it more or less looks like interlaced when things move around on screen, even though it isn't. If I set the Wii to 576i, then it is interlaced for real, and I can then have my receiver de-interlace it just fine, but that faux interlacing effect persists even then.

I don't play that often on my Wii, but my girlfriend plays a lot of Animal Crossing, and I have not seen this problem in AC, so it seems like there's something wrong with LKS. Weird. I can't find anything on the net regarding this, though.

And to be honest, I don't thing I've ever seen a game this blurry before, it's a real strain on the eyes.

Played this last night, and fell in love. It feels a lot like Pikmin, in that you toss your servants to whatever UMA need a beatdown. At times, I wished it had pointer controls, so I could just point 'n' toss instead.

Sadly, I did not get the cool Onii stress reliever. :(

“We are planning to make a sequel to Little King’s Story, like Super Little King’s Story, but we’re still in the process idea phase,” Yoshiro Kimura, Producer of Little King’s Story told Siliconera.

“Right now, we’re trying to get funding and trying to find new partners meaning that Little King’s Story wasn’t developed by one development company, it was developed by different people.” Cing, the studio behind Hotel Dusk, Town Factory, and Marvelous collaborated to make Little King’s Story.

On another note, I've just trounced the Onii King last night. :)

Sadly the bosses veer from the completely awesome to the god awful annoying crap. I gave up on the game with the mountain boss, just too random, too annoying. The game seriously needs better pathfinding, much better ways to manage you troops (guard markers at least) and a pointing targeting system.

I enjoyed it more then I have any other game in years though, Dinnah is certainly the best boss I've ever faced in memory and the cutscenes just get crackier and crackier.
