For those who want to read them in traditional comic form, I noticed that Things From Another World has this collection (http://www.tfaw.com/Profile/Dead-Space-HC___333375) for preorder coming out December 3rd. I'm pretty sure it's the same art/story comics as the video versions.

Also, these are downloadable on XBL and PSN.

The terrible voice work and bleeping of swear words is really fucking bad. And calling this animated is really an exaggeration. On the other hand, I love Templesmith's art. I'd like the paper edition, but not enough to pay money for it.

It's why they call it an animated comic as opposed to an animation.

I didn't find anything wrong with the voice work. A tad overwrought but then again that's probably most the script than anything else.

They censor swear-words? I just checked parts 1 and 6 real quick and they don't seem bleeped.

Guess I was talking about a different version I saw elsewhere. These ones do have the swears included, sorry folks.

I hadn't seen these comics before and I thought they were actually pretty awesome. This style with animated still frames is actually something I really like, and I think for the subject matter and art style works a lot better than a full animation. They also do a great job of explaining the back story, unlike a lot of marketing stuff of this nature.

That was pretty cool. More The Thingy than I expected. Good stuff.

I really like the style and story in these comics, and they certainly got me more interested in playing Dead Space. If the story telling in game is half as engrossing then I'm sold.
