Konami has provided us with new screens from the upcoming PSP exclusive Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The game is a sequel of sorts to MGS3, but a prequel to the rest of the games in the series. It's slated for a 2010 release on the PSP.

I hate when companies just release stills from a trailer and call them new screens. Still, I can't wait for this game.

There has to be a PSP emulator out there and if there isn't I hope they make one by the time this game comes out. I didn't like 3 because of the lack of a working radar but I also didn't like 4 because of how little gameplay there was, maybe this'll be a nice medium?

Of course I'm not certain, but I would think the PSP could do those graphics after playing god of war on PSP. The textures are very low resolution for a trailer.

The trailer was all gameplay from what I saw, the actual content of the screens just isn't new.

That looks really good for a PSP game. Almost makes me sad I didn't enjoy the previous MGS games on the PSP.

I still play it from time to time and don't get me wrong, the story is awesome and so are the characters. But the lack of Soliton Radar System and the whole "you have to press start and choose the camo" just killed it for me. Keep in mind that I finished Twin Snakes about 5 times and MGS2 about 3, so I kinda grew attached to the radar in those games.

Did you play the Subsistence version or just the regular release of MGS3? The free camera that was added in Subsistence really makes the lack of a radar something of a non issue as you can see where enemies are much better. Of course, you have to estimate their cone of sight, but that's not that big of an issue.

Yeah, it means you play the game rather than play the radar. MUCH better.
