View Full Version : Bored
So I'm bored and I have some cash burning in my pocket and I have been wanting to jump back into it but not at $60. I haven't bought a 360 game since Mass Effect when it was first released (save for Catan..mmm. Catan) and I want a good game to play. And I have come to you for some recommendations.
Rules of thumb:
Must be a well done game. B+ and up would be preferred.
I have played Fallout 3 to hell and back on the PC
$40 or less is preferred
I don't have Xbox Live, so SP only.

Dead Space...not sure if it's at $40 yet.

Prince of Persia and Dead Space would be good choices. Both games I need to pick up soon, too.

I'll 3rd Dead Space.
If you're looking for an RPG, Lost Odyssey is pretty good. You can get it new for $30. A couple other good options would be The Orange Box if you didn't already get it on the PC, and a little game called BioShock if you haven't played that either.

I like the choices given so far. Just to add to the variety: GTA IV, Saints Row 2, Tomb Raider Underworld. All are reasonably priced I believe.
Went and bought Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. My pinata internment camp is going quite strongly now.

The progression of this thread is priceless.
Suggestions?
Dead Space, no, Prince of Persia. Lost Odyssey, maybe? How about Tomb Raider? Orange Box?

So funny to me. Incidentally, how is it? With the lack of any Harvest Moon or similar games on anything but weak Nintendo platforms, I've been curious about it.

Well there really wasn't any parameters on the kind of game, so it makes sense a game like Viva Pinata won out. Sometimes you just grab what's the most different to grab yourself out of a gaming funk.
Eh. Wasn't anything special. I don't dig jRPGs, Prince of Persia's only redeeming value is the stylish graphics, Tomb Raider would probably be worth more as toilet paper, and Dead Space looks fairly mediocre with nothing standing out other than it is a Resident Evil Clone but in Space.
And TIP? If you liked the first Viva Pinata like I did, you'll love it.

This is disturbingly inaccurate. Dead Space is an awesome game. You are truly missing out.

This, Dead Space is fantastic. You do it a disservice saying its merely a RE clone in space.
