The wait for Gears of War 2 just got all the more excruciating with news that Microsoft and Epic's blockbuster-in-the-making has now gone gold. It's done. Finished.

The “Gears of War” ongoing comic book series, written by comic industry veteran and “Gears of War 2” scriptwriter Joshua Ortega, began its six story arc this week. The first story arc bridges the gap between the original game and “Gears of War 2,” plus introduces a new gear, Jace Stratton! The first issue is now available.

Written by New York Times best-selling author Karen Traviss, “Gears of War: Aspho Fields” goes back to the pivotal battle of the Pendulum Wars, where Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago helped turn the tide for the Coalition. Available Oct. 28.

The second series of “Gears of War” seven inch figures featuring the men of Delta Squad and new adversaries from the Locust Horde are available now.

You all know this already, but Gears of War 2 will be on sale worldwide from November 7th, 2008, and is rated M for Mature by the ESRB.

I was not aware of this. I will have to see if my local comic store has it.

First, I will have to see if my local comic shop is still in business.

November 7th? Really? I tought it was november 4th....november 7th is actually much better for me, I wont have to take a day or 2 off work to play this coop at release!

I wasn't too excited for this until I watched a new vid (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/41131.html) at gametrailers yesterday, now I'm amped for it. The avalanche map looks amazing, co-op campaign and horde mode will be sweet.

"Jace Stratton" Really? I thought they said they were taking the characters and story seriously this time around. That sounds like a character name you'd see in a parody of 80s action movies.

Resistance 2 is November 4th, Gears of War 2 has ALWAYS been November 7th.

I requested that Friday and the following Monday off. 4 Day Gears weekend!! I'm freaking giddy with excitement.

Wow it's almost here. The sequel to the second most important franchise for Microsoft.
I loved the first and played multi like mad.. After watching the Vidoc I am super hyped.

November 7th.. the day I finish my Citrix Certification Class. So much for studying for the exam hehe

Ok, I know this game makes me hard, and I can understand how it makes Iron Weasel hard, but I'm having a little trouble understanding how it makes you.....um....you know what, sometimes it's just best not to ask. :)
