I watched months and months and months of election coverage last year, and always shook my head at the behavior of some of the people who appeared on the cable news shows. After the election, things quieted down substantially, and some of the people I used to scream at the TV about, turned out to be semi-normal people when not spewing campaign rhetoric.
Then I saw this clip, and it literally wiped away any of the feelings I had from last year. One of the most disgraceful interviews I've ever seen. If I were Brewer, I would have called him a douchebag and killed the feed.

Some people when they're giving an interview, behave like heel announcers in the World Wrestling Federation. They'll continuously behave like total prinks until you don't want to talk with them any further, and they consider your exasperation for their style of argument to be the signal that they've 'won'.
In the short clip I just watched, the guy simply repeated himself over and over, and basically said (in unkind terms) that MSNBC is in the pocket of Obama, or was during the campaign.
I don't believe that to be the case, though they are rapidly filling the left-handed void that Fox News created by being so hard-right leaning. It's a matter of people selling what the public wants to buy.
If this guy is a spokesperson for Sarah Palin, what she needs to do is fire this guy and get someone articulate, not just willing to fight for her. I mean, I disagree with Palin politically, and I think that she was completely unprepared for the kind of exposure she got as a VP candidate, and that makes her come off as dumb. Not to mention her complete lack of knowledge made her come off as dumb.
Dave Letterman is a dick anyway, and is usually funniest when being a dick, so...Sarah is an easy target.

Thought this would be about Glenn Beck...
But I made it to 2:55 before I stopped watching since that guys shit eating grin and general douchebaggery was making me ill.

Ziegler has been on MSNBC before with similar results. (http://crooksandliars.com/john-amato/david-shuster-smacks-down-palin-docu-di) This time, with David Shuster, he falls back on his usual tricks.
I think when he receives the call from MSNBC producers he agrees to come on only to spout how bad the network is and to promote his documentary, not to actually have a conversation about the topic.

You're right OJG. I used to wake up every morning by switching on the national news and, for the most part, you could find nuggets of actual journalism - you know, unbiased reporting.
These days it's all about spouting talking points, having 'strategists' on to spout talking points, and Magic Walls or some shit. It's like one big circle jerk.
I get my news online now and have never looked back.

I stopped having one in my home long ago and have never looked back. I can't imagine there will ever come a point in my life where I invite one back in.
As for the clip...I don't think either came out as shining examples of communication but the fellow certainly took the crown for being an ass. Though I love her, "Cut the mic please" command at the end.
I don't know how recent this is or what the Letterman statements were about, but if they were really as bad as it was presented I understand why Palin was upset.
EDIT: Aw Kato, we both said, "never looked back." How cute!

1. Brewer is hot. I'd never call her a slut, I'd make sure I at least took her out to dinner before I tried to bed her. But she'd undoubtedly not give me the time of day...so.
2. The dude she was interviewing should have been shot in the head. He doesn't defend Palin by being a Douchebag, he just furthers the cause of the extreme left. I am a moderate that votes Democrat...and if this guy is what staunch Republicans are supposed to be, I'll never vote Republican.
Way to sway people to your cause jackass.

Saying the dude should be shot in the head is going a little too far there :/. As for the interview, dude obviously is a douchebag and even more obviously not very articulate.

Ziegler wants in the pants of Sarah Palin. He's clearly on what he believes to be some noble crusade.

Uh...people watch MSNBC?
Also, if we're talking tools, we must talk Glenn Beck. The man has taken to douchebaggery to such epic levels that he literally makes it an art form. For example...

You can't beat this shit. This is the same guy who complains about the media ruining things (don't any of these assholes realize they are part of the media?) while crying like a total pusscake on national television, promoting his project and websites and other bullshit. Honestly, this dood is a tool of epic proportions. You can't help but just be held in awe of such epic doucheness.

Too bad his tactics suck. His over zealousness will land him directly in the friend zone for all eternity. No Grand Ole Pussy for him! :D

We stopped watching the news in late winter/early spring. I have to say, turning it off works better than an anti-depressant. We are much happier when we switch it to another program.

You know, I keep meaning to do this. I swear I'm more depress since I got into the habit of keeping up to date with world/local events.
I guess ignorance is bliss.

It's the same old negative shit every night. NBC Nightly News did start airing a short positive piece at the end of their broadcast, but it's not enough. It seems like all news is negative.
Ignorance may be bliss, but the way the news sensationalizes things also is a factor in my disgust. At this point, I'd rather be having sex in my bed, oblivious to a nuclear bomb heading for my neighborhood. Bliss is far nicer than perpetual fear.

Maybe I'll try it for a month then. The not watching the news, not sex in your bed.

I'll never forget the night I was flipping through my HD channels and passed by FOX and caught a glimpse of an all-red studio, hammer and sickle insignias emblazoned everywhere, and Beck welcoming his viewers as 'Comrades!' I mean, we're talking Mayor of Crazytown here. Check the Russian text scroll. Classic! :p

I've never seen that one before. Wow, this man really does outdo himself each night. He's a tool, but damn, he's really good at it!
