It's a long weekend for some...that would be for the Canadians on here. So for those who are going to enjoy the long weekend, or for the rest just the usual two day break, what are you planning to play?

My plans include:

Silent Hill Homecoming: Just need some night time to begin...
Lego Batman: Why can't I just save anywhere and pick up from there?
GH II/III: Co-op with Ms. Claus I'm hoping...
Time Hollow/DQ IV: Handheld love while watching TV...

getting my Platinum trophy in Burnout, playing Wipeout HD a bit more and taken out some 12 year olds in Madden 09 online.

Probably not much. I hate these in between big release weeks.

If boredom does prevail however, I will probably play some Burnout and try to play more Clear Sky, but it's just lost all its flavor and fun.

Mega Man 9, Super Metroid, Kirby's Dream Course and Gunstar Heroes. It is a Virtual Console weekend for me.

Disgaea DS and the Bikes pack for Burnout Paradise might get some play time as well.

Gonna try to finish Silent Hill 2. I need to go out and get a hair cut tomorrow. I'll probably pick up some horror movies at some point.

That's pretty much it for me, this week.

Rock Band 2 party tomorrow. Not sure what's on my agenda tonight. I think I might fire up BF:BC.

The Witcher if I have time, but I'll mostly be studying for exams.

I'm gonna try to get done with Blue Dragon, which I've been slowly chipping away at.

Also: Silent Hill 2

I will be playing a little more of the LBP beta, and likely some co-op Crackdown, Army of Two, or some such.

I'm going to a friend tomorrow and we'll play a ton of Fifa 09 and NHL 09. I'll try to play some WipeOut HD sometime during the weekend.

Heading to the in-laws for the weekend and will finally get to see my kids, who, in a perverse sort of way, I kind of miss after not seeing them all this week.

Gamingwise, I just picked up Silent Hill: Homecoming on the 360 but won't get to fire that bad boy up until I get back on Monday. I've got my PSP with me and will likely keep chunking away at Jeanne D'Arc. I spent most of the last week working on it and can't figure out why I never got into it despite it being the game that I bought my PSP to play! Oh, wait... FFT:WoL came out... that's what did it.

I'm tempted to snag Sonic Chronicles for the DS, but will resist for now. I've got my DS and PSP with me this weekend so we'll see what I play. I also have my laptop with my new game of Fallout on it, so we'll see if I can't get a job with the caravans in The Hub.

Probably a little bit of a few things: WipEout HD, Disgaea 3, and Wild ARMs XF.

I'm torn as to whether or not I want to play the LBP beta more. On the one hand, holy shit the game is fun. On the other hand, I'd almost rather save it for the retail release.

I'll probably play a bit of Audio-surf, keep chugging away at Prey. And play some more co-op BG:DA 2 w/ the wife.

Beating Army of Two tonight before/after/during the Red Sox game. Beers, videogaming, and the game. Great night. Same goes for tomorrow night...Sox and Rays again.

When and if I beat it, I'll be sending it back to Gamefly tomorrow. It was a decent game, nothing special or great. In the meantime I have Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements from Gamefly to playthrough, as well as the surprisingly fun (for me anyway) Alone in the Dark that I bought from GoGamer for $9.90. I'm 3/4 through the game so far I think. Some wonky controls, some bugs, but a lot of adventure fun for me.

Long weekend for me, starting today! Took today off instead of Monday :)

So, other than lots of NHL 09 and real hockey watching (well, watching me play NHL 09 is like a real hockey experience! :P), I'll be trying to tackle my backlog.

I finally hope to finish HL2: EP 2, might try out Blue Shift, finish off Dark Messiah of M&M, and whatever else I can think of. I really feel a PC weekend coming up :)

I need to finish Brothers In Arms so I can trade it in Tuesday. I have a bit more to finish in Pure before sending it back to GF. Definitely some RB2 in there as well.

My daughter is going to be visiting from college and we've got a big family whoop-dee-doo on Sunday.

I'll be squeezing in some Hinterlands, The Witcher and probably a couple bouts in Kings Bounty.

Re-reading Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman, too; so that'll take some time!

I'm with ya, Gorvi. I found myself returning to the tutorial levels last night to place decals/triggers on the appropriate surfaces to unlock more items...then I realized I'd have to do it all again with the retail copy. :)

It's an interesting way of forcing players to revisit early levels again, since you don't have the appropriate decals/triggers to place when you first encounter those levels.

Other than a little more LBP, I'll likely stick to NHL09, Tales, and maybe throw in some Halo 3 for some of those new Achievements.

I'm holding my budget for the fall releases, so it's old titles for me. I'll probably play a little CoD4 and Battlefield 2. I got Dark Messiah of Might and Magic for $10 on Steam, so that's in the queue as well.

I'm having a bit of an old-school day today. I snagged an NES emulator and a few roms and have been grooving to Megaman 2, Dragon Warrior and Deja Vu... which I am sad to say, I've never played more than the first room or two of. I was going to play Shadowgate for the 300th time but decided to work on Deja Vu instead.

I loved Shadowgate and never played Deja Vu. Meant to and now you just reminded me...all these years later. Obscure gaming, i'd reckon! Which also reminds me, Shadowgate was the only game I ever called a tip line on. There was one part at the end, putting the staff together I think, that I came so close but just couldn't figure out for some reason. It was very dissatisfying but overall loved the game.

There were a few parts in Shadowgate that almost defy logic, but it all works. I'm a little ways into Deja Vu and while it's very similar to Shadowgate, mechanic-wise, it's a vastly different game as far as the atmosphere goes.

I wish I could figure out how to implement mouse support in the emulator though. Both games demand mouse support.

Speaking of which, did you ever play Shadowgate 64? I have it and played a bit but not enough to get very far. I did get a lot of the same vibe from it as from the original, but it was also very different.

I'd love for a DS collection of Shadowgate/Deja Vu and some other classics in the same vein. They're a bit too short to warrant full prices but a nice collection with some sprucing up of the graphics would be awesome.

It was one of the first games I played that was more than just 'stab this guy, jump on that mushroom, eat that piece of fruit'.

The music alone was fantastic, as was the atmosphere.

Hmm, I remember there was a Shadowgate 64 but can't remember why I didn't play it. Probably assumed it sucked or it was developed by a different company so it wasn't really Shadowgate. Aaand I has an N64 so there's no reason I shouldn't have played it.

Aaand I has an N64 so there's no reason I shouldn't have played it.:confused:The thing is that Shadowgate 64 didn't actually suck. It captured a lot of the vibe of the original. The problem was more that it was still as deadly as ever and it was a lot harder to discern insta-death traps with the muddy N64 graphics than it was on the crisp and spartan 2D NES graphics.

If they'd done the game in a pseudo 2D style, it probably would have been much better. Man... Whenever I get my basement finished (soon!) and get the old TV and N64/NES/SNES hooked up to it, I'm going to definately fire up Shadowgate 64 again and take it for a spin. And the game was essentially designed by the same company. INCOM's entire IP catalogue is/was held by Infinite Ventures and according to Wikipedia, they're one and the same company... though I could be reading things into it.
