Various game info feeds

So, I was bored at work today. I had spoken this weekend with a friend about creating the ultimate game database that pulls in data from multiple sources and collects it all together into one special page for every game. After thinking about it for a while, I wondered if FriendFeed (http://friendfeed.com) might not be a good solution for that.

Sure enough, it seems to work out pretty well. I put together a few pages for upcoming games that I'm interested in. Each page pulls in RSS feeds for Google news, Google blogsearch, YouTube videos, Flickr photos, and Delicious links for every game. Each one automatically updated with new content as it's posted online.

I thought I would post this little side project out here in case anyone was interested in bookmarking these pages for themselves. Or, even better, create your own FriendFeed (http://friendfeed.com) account and subscribe to the groups you're interested in. When you do that, you get a handy single feed that contains all of the posts from every group you're subscribed to. It's actually pretty slick.

I'm also putting out the offer to anyone that I would be happy to create more pages for any upcoming games you might happen to be interested in yourself. It only takes about 5-10 minutes to setup a page. Just throw a comment out with a game title, and I'll get it setup.

When I looked at the warhammer 40,000 one there were links for a crack release and even links to the instructions to bypass the copy protection.

I've removed the blanket RSS feeds and instead replaced them with Warhammer-specific feeds from reliable sources such as Joystiq and Kotaku. That should resolve that issue.
