A company called iGames works with affiliated Game Centers all over the U.S. and Canada, and are in the process of holding a Showcase for Warhammer Online. As part of this event, they're giving away 7-day trial keys to anyone who shows up (supplies limited of course). Looks like this runs through October 31st.

Locations of all participating Game Centers: http://www.igames.org/events.asp?event=8390
If anyone returns successful from one of these locations post here and let us know!

One of the places is in Bellingham, WA. It's kinda close to the border with BC. You could go there :D

Too late now, wound up talking my roommate into buying it.
Now I just want my own damn account because I don't want to have to reroll again in a month or so whenever my computer comes back.

Roll Order on Red Eye Mountain. In particular, roll a DPS or RDPS class. ;)

Already destruction. The lure of Orks and Chaos is far greater than that of any of the Order races.

Actually we definitely do need help, considering that we are out-numbered on every server. It works wonders in flavour and ambiance, let me tell you, but from a practical standpoint, this sucks.

It also doesn't help that the only Dwarf class I was interested in turned out to be dull, the Empire noob area is so dull I couldn't get past level 4, and Warhammer elves just leave me totally cold (though in fairness the zone itself was kinda cool).

I think every smart MMO should offer a trial. I would not have even tried WoW if there hadn't been a trial. Same thing for EVE. I tried LotRO without one, because reviews said it was a lot like WoW...guess again, guys.

See, you pretty much give a valid reason for MMOs not to have free trials in that post. It forces people to pay the developers money to see if the game is good enough for them. As long as there will be potential customers willing to risk losing 65$ while trying new MMOs, those games will not have free trials at launch.
