When I registered my PS1, a card came in the mail asking if I wanted to join the PlayStation Underground. At some point during the PS2 lifespan, I guess it changed over to G.A.P., as I got a new member kit.

Though I believe G.A.P. went to an invite only system in the years since.

InFamous would probably be your sure-fire bet to get in.

I'm in. Not sure if I dig it though, the control seems really sluggish compared to Uncharted. I will have to spend some more time with it to be sure but I'm not impressed at this point. :(

I have no mic at the moment so if we play I will be rolling mic-less.

Edit: Also the option to find a custom game with a party was greyed out for me, not sure if we can play together.

What Rogue said. Unfortunately members can't send out invites. Sony sends them out and I have no idea what they base it on. I do know you have to have a PlayStation Network account.

I played a couple of matches tonight but need to try and go to bed. It takes me at least a couple hours to fall asleep once I lay down. Looking like about 2AM or later before I actually sleep.

I'm definitely had fun the couple of rounds I played. Looking forward to playing with you guys throughout the month so toss me on the list.

I played a single round and I gotta say, I liked it. Controls take a little getting used to not so much because they're wonky but rather because all the players seem so agile, there is flipping and hopping over numerous obstacles. All in all, I enjoyed it and left me with the feeling that multiplayer in Uncharted could actually work.

We played a match called Plunder in which two opposing teams are attempting to take a certain relic on some part of the map. Now, getting your hands on the thing is the easy part, it is up to your team to protect you long enough to get it to the so-called base. The base is really nothing more than a chest that sits on the second floor of a dilapidated building requiring the holder of the relic to toss it up to the second floor through a large hole in the ground, climb a bookcase to reach the second floor and pick it up once more to take the relic to its new home. The whole process can be much easier if your team has the foresight to wait on the second floor where you can simply toss the item up to them and they move it to the chest. This minimizes the possibility of interception if the relic.

The match played up to 3 captures and it was certainly a struggle between the two teams. It was nice to see just how close one could be to returning the relic only to have your protection get mowed down leaving you practically defenseless while they come in for the steal. We managed to pull the last minute capture giving us the win in this very manner.

Based on performance, you get titles specific to particular actions you perform throughout the match such as multiple kills, killing the man with the idol and so forth. Each awards you with a title for the action and a certain amount of cash. Being just a beta, I am not sure of the money will actually be used for purchases in the retail release but in this beta, it worked no differently than your standard FPS exp system. Played one match, did well even capturing a relic myself, and I tallied up enough money to get me to rank 3. Doesn't mean much now but damned if I wasn't happy to get it.

I'll give this thing more time tomorrow.

I'm not re-accustomed to the controls yet and the mode in the beta is short, but fuck me the 3 player co-op is great fun.

Ok to follow this up. It is not shareable. I downloaded it and no dice.

I don't understand why my copy of InFamous didn't have a code and now I'm kind of peeved.

EDIT: Another update, it DOES work if you save the person you shared from's password on your system. So obviously if you are sharing with a close friend who trusts you this works.

That being said, I'm in. I played a little Team Deathmatch or whatever earlier and it was actually quite fun. I was surprised.
