I turn 20 on May 30th, and I'm completely lost as to what I'd like to do for my birthday. If anyone has any suggestions or knows special places in Southern California, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks. :D

Well... ...if you want something unforgettable that would be the way to go.

*if the job pays well and includes a free trip to Cali call me. I can bring my own heals. :p

Fake ID?

If yes, Vegas.

If no, Disneyland or something awesomely younger-than-21 like that :p

Ask for a time machine for your b-day, and then travel to the future by one year, on your 21st b-day. Get drunk.

You're welcome.

Come to Canada! The drinking age is 19 and our beer is much stronger.

You know, I feel like this is one of the best endorsements of my country I've ever made. :D

Sorry, I'm not available to jump out of your birthday cake.

But I am! Question: Do you like sequins?

Sheeeit, son. I can't even remember what the hell I did for 20.

I do not recommend Mexico, however. Overrated, and you do NOT want to encounter the hookers off the strip.

There are, however, no shortage of fine places to stuff your underaged pie hole across the Southland. A hint as to what kind of food/atmosphere you seek might help, tho'. ;)

Sky diving! DO IT!

I was going to say that! I still haven't had a chance to do it, but I will some day.

Um, get drunk with some friends while playing Wii?

Three years later and that still sounds dirty.

Sheeeit, son.

Have you seen The Wire, by chance? ;)

Dave & Busters is usually a good time. Helps if you can drink though I guess. So that might be out.

If you're short on cash, hanging out at the Disneyland Hotel can be fun, especially if you run into a group of vacationing females.

Six Flags Magic Mountain. You can get high in the parking lot and go on Splash Mountain. That's a trip.

It's fairly cheaper than Disneyland and there's a lot more rides for those who are not 12 and under.

Disney is free on your birthday this year.

Go to a concert at a local venue. You can probably find something on the cheap around you. I'm not from SoCal but I know there's a thriving music community. See some band before they hit big.

Touche.

But still, there are only four good rides: Star Tours, Madderhorn, Space Mountain, and Teacups.

This is what I'm doing, the Summer Slaughter Tour hits ATL on my birthday....full day of metal.

This was going to be my suggestion. Here's the link (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/disneyparks/en_US/WhatWillYouCelebrate/disneyland/index?name=CelebrationsDLRFreeOnYourBirthdayPage) to register. You'll probably want to do that today if you plan on going.

Jeez, I can't even remember my 20th birthday. I never do much - I'm always happy with a good Chinese dinner and a couple gift certificates. I always wonder about birthdays - so you survived another year, whaddya want, a freakin' medal? ;)

Hell, this year my wife was so sick with a cold that it was me and one friend eating at my favorite Chinese place. That's it. No cake, nothing. And the worst thing is that, not knowing my wife would be sick, I had taken the day off in case she wanted to go somewhere (her family loves birthdays).

I'm no help...grumpy old homebody that I am... :)

Man I was so hoping this was going to be someone asking what to get someone for a gift. I was seconds away from busting out Dick in a Box.

You could always get started early and do nothing for it. Or go to work. Thats how I spent most of my birthdays.

Some of the ideas in here are pretty damn good... Six Flags might be the most appealing, and I know they have a special going when you take a Coke can in.

If I had the joys of Californian beaches, that's where I would be for my birthday. Grab a bottle (or get someone of age to get you one) make some spiked iced tea and head out to the beach with some friends. Relax for the day, have some drinks, enjoy the ladies and the scenery, then BBQ up some eats.

Unfortunately, my birthday is in the middle of winter and I live in Canada so I can do none of these things.

Can't believe you guys from America have to be 21 to enter a club legally, it's 18 here in Aus so after 4 years of clubbing I'd had enough and burnt out.

Correction! I found a GF and spent a good six months doing the things you do with new girlfriends and after that clubbing just didn't have the appeal. I'm sure if I was single I would still be going out every weekend!.

It depends on the club and the area. I've been to quite a few clubs/bars in the past where the minimum entry age was 18.

Also depends on if they have a band playing there, I've been to bars that are usually 21+ that had an all ages show one night.

Most clubs here are 18+. You just have to be 21 to drink and at the door they give you an arm band. Some clubs make it so that girls can get in at 18 and guys have to be 21. Which I find hilarious.:p
