Oh c'mon. Tactics wasn't that awful. It certainly wasn't a good Fallout game, but it's not like it was a completely horrible game. For a squad-based strategery game it wasn't too bad.

Anyway, I'm not trying to argue that the character should be called PipBoy over VaultBoy, but that it isn't completely unprecedented that the two be confused. It was done in an official Fallout title, even!

I like that idea, Bone. I just finished my Art degree this summer and I haven't practiced much since. Like many disinfanchised artists before me, I've decided to give teaching a try instead. A little friendly competition might get me to draw a little more often though.

I've got it on my iPod; ripped the tunes from the vinyl LP. Been doing that a lot lately. I've got a huge LP library. My daughters love David Bowie so I figured out the technology and ripped my entire Bowie LP collection to MP3. I think I'll start on my ELP albums next - I'm jonesing for some Brain Salad Surgery!

You rip it through the analog input on your soundcard in realtime. It is actually pretty simple to do if you have any idea how to work a computer decently. Here (http://www.bestshareware.net/howto/rip-vinyl-albums-to-cd-mp3-itunes-ipod.htm) is a pretty simple tutorial. I believe they also make USB turntables now to make life super easy.

Yeah that is awesome, the sheer destruction porn wrought by Auska is great, but...the rest of the movie is well...really not that good. I remember some of the parts being rather infuriating and contrived.

I can see how one might not enjoy it, but I loved most of it. There are some parts that get really dumb though, particularly after the apocalypse scene.

When I watched Evangelion, I was in a frame of mood and mental state pretty much paralleling that of the creator, i.e. self-loathing, depressed, and full of existential angst. I absolutely loved the series and movie as a result, but I can 100% understand why people would think it's pretentious crap.

The Rebirth (or is it Remake?) of Evangelion movies might distill the awesome into a more tasteful package for the masses.

I'm using my old Sony turntable and Soundcraftman Preamp/Equalizer and feeding into my Soundblaster. I'm using Audacity to record the raw album sides to wav files and then identifying and labeling each track and converting them to hi-octane MP3 files. Audacity has a nice "Click & Pop" filter that comes in handy when working with vinyl.

Time intensive, but it's fun to be working with the old stereo equipment. This is what I spent TOO much money on before computers became viable toys.
