Publisher XSEED is bringing the Wii adaptation of the classic Japanese horror film - JU-ON: The Grudge - to American shores.

The film's original creator, Takashi Shimizu, is working as a consultant on the game, described by the developers as a "haunted house simulator."It is said that when a person dies with a deep and burning grudge, a curse is born. When an average housewife in Nerima, Japan, was murdered in a grisly fashion, it gave rise to a curse so powerful that it threatens to kill at a pace thought unimaginable before. The Wiimote will be used as a flashlight as you dodge terrors in a variety of environs. Other players can even use the second controller to trigger events to scare their friends.

The Feelplus-developed JU-ON: The Grudge will hit the Wii in October

Sounds like an average night of competitive online to me... :p

Looks like the Wii may be starting to get some worthy 3rd party titles.

That movie was so damn scary... I don't think I could handle an interactive version assuming it was done well!
