Steal Princess comes out Wednesday, who's picking it up?
I've been following this for quite some time and pre-ordered mine months ago to make sure I'd get it. (Future Shop, Wal-Mart and Best Buy aren't going to be carrying this, only EB sadly.)

I've been following the game myself from as far back before its July 2008 release in Japan. I'm almost positive, but I (fairly) believe reading somewhere that the people who worked on this were involved in Landstalker for the Sega Genesis.
I heart Atlus. :D

Ooh, if that were the case, then this game just got a little more interesting. I find that a lot of really good games tend to be from Atlus, one way or another. Anything that has even a speck of Landstalker in it is a must buy. Just this morning, actually, I was watching some videos from it. Ah, the memories.

Atlus has stated that this game is going to be a limited release, even compared to Atlus standerds so you may have difficulty locating this game in many Brick and Mortar stores if you haven't already pre-ordered it.

Yep. And here's the quote(s) (http://ds.ign.com/articles/827/827324p1.html) in question:
They made waves on the Genesis with Landstalker, and... well, no one has paid much attention to them since. But Climax is back, with a new action RPG for the DS.
Gameplay takes place from an isometric perspective, with what appears to be sprite-based characters moving about on a polygonal map a la Climax's sleeper Saturn Landstalker follow-up Dark Savior.

As soon as Amazon said they were in stock while browsing late last night, I ordered it on the spot. I should have this tomorrow or Thursday.

Game was supposed to be in today, now it says tomorrow. I am not pleased.

Most people seem to love Landstalker, but I preferred its spiritual successor on the Saturn, Dark Savior. Great game.

I just ordered it. I don't think I have ever played anything like it, at least as far as I can tell from the trailers.

Apparently there isn't anything quite like it.

Good, I could use a really different gameplay experience. Things have seemed so stale lately.

Bah, delayed for like another 4 days apparently. For me, at least.

That is weird, mine shipped this morning.

I've played a few maps of the first area, and it's fun. Anise has somewhat slow & floaty jump, but the whip is very fun to use, especially standing on top of enemies.
I can just see from the get-go that it gets better the further I go. :D

Gamestop by my house only got in 2 copies and both were gone. I did get to pick up Punch Out and the game is fantastic.

You're presented with a map with a set number of enemies/items/obstacles that you need to overcome to get the key and pop the lock to open the door to the next area. Depending on how fast you complete them, you can earn bronze/silver/gold medals.
I'll admit that some of the earlier ones stumped me a bit, and one small niggle about the game is that it would be better suited with an analog nub due to the isometric layout, and you'll have to sometimes deal with narrow paths surrounded by spikes or pits.
That, and the dialogue isn't Steal Princess' strong point. Besides that, I'm quite happy with the game.

I can't find the game anywhere , I really want to play it too..

Alright. I've trounced the first area, so it looks like you have 25 maps per area, with the 25th culminating in a boss fight. Some of the maps are tricky, to slightly repeat myself. :)
Lutheran: Have you tried Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Steal-Princess-Nintendo-DS/dp/B001PDINTG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1243556681&sr=1-1)? They have it in stock, and that's one option for you.

I'm a little ways into the second area. Some of the maps involving Golems are pretty fun. ;)

Other than sometimes wanting an analog stick/nub as it's isometric, both that and the graphics are quite good.
