Left 4 Dead(PC) - Steam group night [Archive]

If you haven't joined the CoG Steam group, it's a good idea to do so when Left 4 Dead comes out and you're looking for people to play with. We have 2 official game nights: RTS Wednesdays and TF2 Thursdays. We'll most likely be looking for an official L4D(PC) night as well. So what night works for everyone?

I figured we'd all pile in the Steam chat seeing as we'll have to split off into groups of 4, and it will be easier for people to fill slots and find people to join.

EDIT: This poll will stay open. I'll tally the results a week before the game comes out.

Mon - anytime after 9 est (Terminator on tv)
Tues - anytime after 9 est (House)
Wed - anytime after 9 est (Bones)
Thurs - write off survivor,csi, the office
Friday/Sat - anytime after 11pm
Sun - screw you guys i gave you plenty of time during week.

This may be a very good game to get a cluster of people going for every day, considering the number of players per game.

There is no game event scheduled on Sundays so that's what I voted for.

Tuesday doesn't work for me. Most other nights would be fine, with the exception of Fridays and Saturdays where I will most likely be insanely drunk, at the very least. No one does anything on Sundays, why not then?

I'm sure there's no laws prohibiting you from playing L4D under the influence ;) I'm actually a fan of Friday nights, but I'm avoiding it in case I GET a life one of these days.

Doesn't really matter to me, all of your crazy times are equally inconvenient. I voted for Sunday night, because I think that is like Monday 4 am or so my time.

I'm good for most nights though....me and the wife tend to enjoy staying in and playing video games.

You know what works too...a few matches of TF2 to get everyone loosened up on Thursdays, then devolve into groups to kill zombies in 4's. ;)

I don't think this is going to be an issue for the first while since it's going to be insanely popular every night. I remember when we could get TF2 going every night.

IMO I think Tuesday would be best suited for this, since we just slowed down the TF2ing to 1 night a week.

But with the way TF2 has been dying out early on Thursdays eitherway, I'm sure it will translate into finishing the night with some zombie slaying.

With any luck, it won't be much of a problem in a co-op game like L4D... but of course, I'm sure you'll be more than welcome either way. :D

Since the date's nearing I figured I'd give this thread a bump. Tuesdays look like a lock, but Sundays and Thursdays will most likely have scheduled times as well.

Sunday was a popular night and works for me hosting some sessions as well. I will be hosting Left 4 Dead Lunches (Left 4 Lunches?) everyday b/w 12-1 or 12:30-1:30 as my schedule can handle. Unfortunately I won't be mic'd during the lunches though.

At this moment we're not really differentiating b/w PC and 360 play. I figured 360 owners might want to figure their own day out, but on Tuesdays we can honor both. I have the feeling co-optimus might dedicate a night to it like the old school Halo 2 nights.
