For some reason the Bus Speed of my Q6600 won't change when I boot xp using my Gigabyte P35-DS3R (rev 1.0) motherboard.
The multiplier, voltages, ram settings and anything else I'd like will adjust, and I can even set the bus speed manually in the BIOS, but as soon as I save and boot up, it's still at the stock setting while everything else saves and changes properly. CIA2, C1E, EIST, CPUID, etc have all been disabled.
Anyone here overclock with a Gigabyte board? I tried using the BIOS I had then updated to the latest one and still had no luck.
I might try a software related tool right now to see if that will change it, but I'd like to know the reasoning behind this.
edit: Seems as though I'm not the only one.

It's just strange that is happens out of nowhere.
edit #2: Removed the battery and left it for 20 mins. Reset everything and started fresh and it seems to be holding this time. This can be deleted.
