Can anyone recommend a secure FTP client/ server solution? The only must is that it has to encrypt the user login for accessing the FTP server. It does not have to be free.

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.

Filezilla for a client is my choice hands down.

Not sure if it has what you're looking for in terms of encryption, but it might.

This. Filezilla supports SFTP.

Yea, I haven't used a stand alone FTP client in ages, Firezilla FTW.

I've used the FileZilla client, but haven't used FileZilla Server very much.

Also a fan of Filezilla.

Honestly, is there a choice other than Filezilla?

One added benefit of Filezilla is it's portability. If you download the non-install-shield version and unzip it onto a USB drive, it's good to go. Edit the config file to save the server setups to the USB drive, and you have easy access to FTP from wherever you plug your USB drive into.

I use WinSCP as a client. For the server side I am not sure.

I've used Filezilla server and client exhaustively and highly recommend them both.

You could've googled it and saved us some time.
