Finally, hard and conclusive proof that Obama is ELITIST! (http://gawker.com/5244126/obama-orders-burger-with-elitist-european-condiment?skyline=true&s=i)

There's a video embedded in it that I don't think I can embed here.

Seriously, what the hell? Is the MSM so desperate for stories that they have to report on what a guy puts on his burger?

I created this thread not just for this burger story, but frankly I'm tired of seeing faux outrage over stupid shit like "OMG Michelle touching the queen!", "OMG Michelle had no sleeves!", and stupid crap like that. Meanwhile, there's two wars and a recession going on. Surely the media can find better shit to criticize about?

Hannity in particular is going off the rails on this one. I wonder what's in his fridge?

It's laughable to watch people who make millions of dollars a year mock someone else for being "elitist." There isn't a non-elite anchor or personality on any news channel.

When you have nothing of substance, start gunning for the condiments. :D

At least he didn't request French's brand mustard.

Expecting actual unbiased news from the news is probably a pretty unreasonable expectation at this point. The MSM either adores the Obamas and reports on their every move with breathless interest, or needs to carry a cup around to catch the pool of bile pouring out of their orifice.

It's pretty hopeless. I'm as sick of the fawning over the Obamas as I am over the angry irrationality.

There's plenty out there of substance and importance, and even controversy regarding policies and administrative choices, but you wouldn't know it from reading most of the MSM.

Elitist burger condiment? I'll wager that bacon and cheese costs more than a single serving of dijon.

But yeah, this is hard proof that Obama is a euro loving commie, just as we always knew. Man, I'm so glad I bought all those army surplus weapons and my fallout bunker is ready.

Precisely. Jon Stewart complained about this often: He sometimes feels like he's the only one who's commenting on things that matter, when he (as a comedian) shouldn't have to. And quite frankly I agree with him: The current politicans are making Jon's and Colbert's jobs so easy when they quibble over stupid shit.

I find that I often have to search several sites like the BBC, Al-Jazheera (gasp!), and blog sites to get anything of substance that doesn't involve what Michelle's wearing today, what kind of dog Obama picked, or the latest American Idol episode.

Frankly, here's my stance on it:

He's the president. Stop treating him like a celebrity and start making him accountable for his actions as such. If he's doing a good job, report as such. If not, at least have the decency to report SOME of it (Media is biased, afterall :P)...I'm utterly sick of the President being treated like a Celebrity. I don't care how the man eats his burgers. I care how he runs the country.

Maybe it's good I moved to Canada 5 years ago...

Don't treat the CoG community like children!

We all know, you can learn a lot about how a man treats his people, by how he treats his burgers....
