Fantastic looking visuals.

Those guards in the second picture are more acrobatic that you might think based on their mode of dress. :p

Looking good. As one of those who really enjoyed the first one I am looking forward to this.

I really hope the guards in heavy armor can't chase you across rooftops.

You know, Altair's outfit doesn't exactly blend in as well in the new environment.

You'd think a trained assassin would be smart enough to figure that out.

Because a videogame about genes that let you relive your ancestor's lives HAS to adhere to realism. ;)

Yeah the words "sore thumb" come to mind, but then again, I want to be able to pick him out easily in a crowd, so I can let it slide.

The same way I let slide in the first one that the only way you could really sneak around was to walk around with your hands clasped like a scholar. And none of the guards ever once thought "why does a scholar need so many blades?"

Looking great. I especially like all the ivy and foliage. It lends some needed color to the environments.

So will everyone admit that the first AC's colors were an artistic design choice, now that we can clearly see it wasn't an engine limitation?

Wait, people thought it was an engine limitation? O_o

I thought it was just because it was a fucking desert.

You must not have seen the thread that almost drove me to suicide then.

I am hoping it's not just a new skin/map for Assassin's Creed.

At least some of the clothes are as ridiculous as yours.

Graphics look good, setting looks good, I'm excited.

One thing though......

....I see water....

...please let the new MC be able to swim!

The GI article specifically says there will be swimming. In fact...

Oh man I'd love to leap out of the water like a freak and stab someone in the neck.

Or drag them in the water.

Please make this possible.

You'll be able to pull people in and drown them.

You can use water to escape from guards as well. From what I've read, the game's specifically being designed to fix most of the complants you hear about the first.

Also, are we still complaining that the protagonist of a video game doesn't blend in with the hundreds of citizens your going to run into? Ignoring the fact that your character needs to stand out so you don't end up thinking your some other shmuck in the crowd, who wants to look like every other NPC you come across?

I'm guessing the disguise for the new setting will be carnival masks. The Carnival of Venice has been around since the 13th century. It would be great to slip on one of several masks in order to hide your identity and blend in amongst revelers.

So far I am not impressed. It looks almost the same as the original. I guess I can't expect a sequel to stray too far from the original. So maybe I should just not pay any attention to this title. I basically want this to be a completely different game.

You kidding? That sort of outfit is not only very comfortable but practical. Full freedom of movement! Loose pants, and shirt, and the stockings around the ankles won't catch on anything. I know because I have such an outfit sitting in my closet and have fenced while wearing it. :p

I really wanted to like AC, and I did for 3 hours. I really hope they fix then game instead of just making it pretty. More variation, better storytelling, more challenge in the climbing, less random fights.

Well I'm betting they're wearing some sort of armour underneath as well. ;)

Well, yes. A good, sturdy codpiece is essential. :p

This.

Screenshots mean nothing, since AC already had great visuals. Its flaws were entirely in the design, which so far is looking disappointingly similar. But we shall see...

Yeah, this looks like a really inspired sequel. Ubi will have to drastically change AC to make me care about it. And, since I'm a core consumer, I have no doubt that this will happen.
