Via Tiny Cartridge (http://tinycartridge.com/post/53710908/trailer-for-no-more-heroes-2-desperate-struggle): just a trailer, no gameplay footage. But I'm guessing from the Desperate Struggle subtitle, this will be a DS-based sequel. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I kind of assume this one is on the Wii again, as the character designs look the same as before, just altered a bit. I really HOPE it's a Wii game.

So glad they're making a sequel.

GT says it's a Wii game.No one knows yet. Suda hasn't announced the platform. A sequel in and of itself would supposedly be a Wii game, but the "Desperate Struggle" tagline suggests DS.

They're guessing just like everybody else. The first one bombed both here and in Japan; I think it's much more likely that it's a DS game.

I really hope it gets a sequel on the Wii but if Suda is making this one for the DS I'll be there too. All I ask is that it doesn't have any DSi specific features.
Also that trailer was awesome. I can't wait for more info.

I've seen it confirmed in a few places, this is a Wii game, not a DS game. I really need to get the first one, it looks so good.

No problem! Gamasutra (http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=20583):
A trailer for No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle was revealed, and like its predecessor, it will be a Wii exclusive, currently slated for January or February of 2010.

:)Awesomesauce! Thank you.
I guess that makes this thread (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=818) more appropriate for further NMH2 discussion, then. :D

From the same Gamasutra article:
...consumer website Eurogamer reports that Suda51 wanted to make a sequel in part to "reward the surprisingly large numbers of fans the first game amassed in Europe and the U.S."
A new Grasshopper Manufacture game? Day one purchase.
Also, was NMH really that successful? I never saw it sell much, though it wasnt well marketed.

The interesting part of the Gamasutra article comes at the end:
Along with the upcoming Western release of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (aka Project Zero 4), Grasshopper Manufacture is also working on an unnamed action horror project with Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami for EA.
The busy developer is also committed to Kurayami on the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS -- remakes of Suda51’s earlier titles Flower, Sun and Rain and The Silver Case.
Never heard of The Silver Case nor the Mikami partnership. Suda's moving up in the world.

Cool... I really should play the original. I've always meant to and the Wii could use a dusting off and powering up.
To those that played the original, rental or purchase? Could I get through the game in a week/2 weeks?

Hmmm...finally a reason to not sell my Wii.
Seriously, how does one keep excited about the console? It's just not great once you've played the big titles.

The Mikami collab has been going on for a little while now. Really cant wait to see what those two can bring to a game.

I enjoyed the first NMH a lot. A second one would most likely be a purchase for me unless they change something major. The ending really did leave it open for a sequel.

I'd say something completely awesome and also completely messed up. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killer_7)
