I used really like it as a kid. Hope it holds up like the Batman one.

EDIT: There's only one episode now. New episodes are weekly.

The Deus Ex theme song always reminded me of the X-Men animated series.

Wow.

God I wish Marvel knew what it was doing with its comics marketing like this all the time.

Man...I loved this show when I was growing up too. It's actually a lot more 'adult' than people gave it credit for.

Yay! It works in Canada. I used to quite enjoy this show when I was younger. It'll give me something to watch in the corner of my screen.

It was like a punch back then. You've Scooby-Doo on with a severe case of the munchies on one channel, and the other channel you have a minority fighting against discrimantion...with adamantium claws.

Eah...for the most part, It doesn't hold up as well as Batman does IMO. However the voice acting is still among the best of all time as far any animated form of entertainment goes.

Oh man. When all of the 'mutant v. mutant' trailers for X3 were airing and they were running at each other I wanted this themesong to play so bad...

Whaaaaat? Wolverine talks like Popeye the Sailor and Gambit has the cheesiest fake accent of all time. The voice acting was horrendous!

I love this show for how bad it is. The best episode is the one with Nightcrawler. For some reason, they are in a German village that is a hold out from the dark ages, ruled by M. Bison. When they find out about Nightcrawler, they storm his monastery with pitchforks and torches and... laser pistols. They end up lighting the monastery on fire, which displayed is real flames overlaid on the animation cells. At the end, Wolverine discovers religion, and smiles the stupidest looking smile I've ever seen. Nonstop laughs!

What? I rather liked the Wolverine voice in the cartoon. It's also the same guy used for the Capcom fighting games.

Thank you! So I'm not the only one. Every time I fired up Deus Ex, my brain would immediately start showing the intro to X-men.

This is pretty cool, I'll keep an eye out for new shows being added.

That always bugs the shit out of me. WTF? The people interested in buying this aren't going to be interested in some half-ass collection; they are going to want the entire thing.

Man, I used to love this show back in the day, but now I can't stop remembering the opeing credits, with that catchy tune and the various sides running at each other.

Not sure how many of you saw it, but I think I liked Marvel's other attempt at a show better (hell, I still have it on video). As far as I know, they only made the one episode, Pryde of the X-Men, but it was still so very awesome...and now the theme song to that is stuck in my head, too.

"X-Men, X-Men, this is the day, this is the day..."

EDIT: So we all can enjoy it...

My roommate did a video blog on Wolverine and the X-Men, the new X-Men animated series. He talks about this one first, and how much he did like it and doesn't like the new one.

The problem with 90's marvel animated shows were the production values. They sucked. The animation was crap. The sound effects were cheap. Of course the 90's characters didn't help(fucking gambit). But they captured the feel of the comics pretty well.

Wasson_

early on the production values are passable, but I remember later on the episodes getting quite a bit more shitty.

Have to agree with you, never was a fan. Don't mean the be "that guy" that comes in and craps on the topic; to each their own. I just see the quality of the DC animated ventures, and wish Marvel had something more comparable.

EDIT: BTW, not agreeing with you Wolverine talks like Popeye hypothesis. That's pretty out there :p

Awesomeness. Wolverine is the best babysitter ever. ;)

Also, it allowed me to find this. Colossus was always my favorite.

HaDDxElwL-Y

Which reminds me why the x-men movies pissed me off so much. We got about 20 combined seconds of Colossus in three movies.

The Hulk vs. Wolverine is fucking fantastic, especially if you're a fan of Deadpool. Most of these have come out before the recent DC ones. In fact their success is what spurred DC on.

I would almost say DC stuff was too good.

For the most part the DCAU (Timmverse) was about 100x better then the actual DCU.

He was talking about the 90's stuff. Batman and Superman animated series had 10 times the production value and a 100 times the writing talent of anything by Marvel at the time.

Of the ones you listed, only half of Hulk vs. is comparable. Ultimate Avengers was like the Ultimates, only everything awesome taken out and that Iron Man movie has some of the most headache inducing animation of all time.

You obviously haven't seen them. Ultimate Avengers took on the Hulk in some kick-ass fight scenes and the animation was well done. Hulk Vs. Wolverine is the best of them all, though.

Agreed, Nolan North captured Deadpool's essence perfectly.
