What do you plan to do with the game when you get it?
Plan to just peruse other users creations, or any ideas on making your own?
One game I loved as kid was The Lost Vikings.
I loved how you intertwined the three fellas to accomplish goals.
I don't have anything planned yet (I'll have to see exactly what is available to me to use, first), but I'm going to work on game meant for at least two (mostly so I can get my friends involved and have fun with them) that will (hopefully) have massive cooperation between those playing to accomplish various tasks and to progress. I'm so stoked.
What're your ideas?
I'd like to come up with something Lovecraftian I think. Could be a lot of fun just playing around in his world and building it.

I'm just planning on playing a shitload of user levels at first. So far as my own level, I haven't given it too much thought. I guess once I get some more time with the beta (and the retail game soon) some ideas will come to me.
I'll say one thing, this game will be keeping me busy for a very, very long time.

What? No....what??
Anyway.... I plan on playing a lot of the standard levels on co-op with Mrs TheSquid, then jumping online, trying player created stuff with Mrs TheSquid and some other friends. That may all go out the window, I have no plan set in stone, other than having a lot of fun, and customizing my Sackboy a lot. That sounds odd.

My desire to waste my life with the American retail experience, goes down markedly during "Mouth Breathing, ignorant, whore born, CHUDs flood the stores season;" Commonly known as the Holiday buying season.
I might grab it on Amazon, but compared to Fallout, L4D which will be downloaded to my PC, I doubt that will happen.

More that given the choice of the lines and waiting for a disc of LBP over my download of L4D or Fallout 3, I choose the latter. I firmly live and embrace our on demand world. I would not stand in line any more than most people would make time in their lives to watch a TV show over using their DVR.
People who know me also know that I tend to be OCD over "wasted" or idle time. Other than sleep, I detest any time where I am not engaged in some activity. I hate commutes, travel(prefer red eye to lessen crowds and allowing me to sleep. If I am not doing something I have to do, or something I want to do, I am wasting time for both.
You glossed over my BJ joke nicely though.

Got into the Beta yesterday and am having a blast. But I did "break" the first creation tutorial by building the sackboy pyramid before talking to the character that tells you to. I still got credit for doing it but then I couldn't exit the tutorial level.

That's my problem. I used to run it under the carpet at my old apartment, but we put tile in our new house, so that doesn't exactly work. You don't have to buy the official MS adapter, but even a USB adapter will run you almost the price of a full game.

Just buy the cheapest wireless router you can and install DD-WRT on it, make it a wireless access point and plug the 360 directly into it. Still approaches the cost of a game, but you get at least three other dedicated ports instead of the single one that an MS adapter gives you.

First Beta Impressions - Quick n' Dirty
The Good:
1. Attention to detail - Everything from the tutorial, credits, and narration to the perspective choices during a level, the sound, the physics...it just all comes together. It's hard not to smile as you control your Sackperson. The clarity of detail just makes you want to reach into the screen.
2. Customization - I was in one of the tutorial levels, learning how to grab things and ride horsies and shit or whatever. Instead of following the distinguished narrator's instructions, I found myself pinning flowers and springy eyeballs and shit all over the horse he wanted me to get on. The horse ended up looking like a garish, gay frankenstein. Then I got on the horse and the entire thing rolled down a hill, springy eyes and flowers bouncing all over the place. It was hilarious and I was thrilled.
3. Creativity/Replayability - After the training wheels were off, I was let loose upon the online levels created by users. There were so many it was crazy. I played a remake of Wipeout complete with rockets and loop-de-loop tracks, a Shadow of the Colossus remake (not the one from the 24-hr video), a Sweet Child O' Mine Guns & Roses musical tribute level, a Super Mario remake, and the crazy list goes on.
The Bad:
1. Unchecked Freedom - It's to be expected, but many of the user-created levels were frustratingly impossible or just plain broken. The price one pays for letting loose the hounds of creativity. However, I understand with time the cream will rise and I'll spend less time playing broken levels and more time with the great ones.
2. Popit Menu System - While easy in its implementation and access, it takes a lot of time to cycle through pages and pages of items and colors and stickers and...you get the idea. I wish the triggers allowed you to quickly flip pages, but as it stands you have to press your stick to the right until you're past whatever is on that page, then the page turns. Could be faster, IMHO. But I'm nitpicking, really.
The Ugly:
1. Online Loading/Disconnects/Assorted Issues - Yeah, I know it's a Beta. I got it. But every time I tried to connect to a multiplayer level there were all sorts of disconnect, latency and other annoyances that prevented me from enjoying any of it for a second. Loading times for these user created levels can be very long...even longer if you're trying to connect to a multiplayer run of the level instead of just by yourself. Then, once connected and loaded, the latency can be off the chart and then you disconnect or the host drops and the whole handshaking starts again and...well, I ended up just playing solo from then on. Hopefully, this will be remedied with launch or shortly thereafter. Nothing kills a fantastic multiplayer/co-op game like latency and disconnects.
Overall, I had planned on spending an hour or two with it last night and then getting back to my NHL09 franchise or continuing with Tales of Vesperia. I didn't stop playing LBP until about midnight. That says a lot in light of some of the limitations I ran into.
This game has the potential to be a lot of things: a quick pick-up-and-play diversion, a multiplayer/co-op party game, a fun solo platformer, a vehicle for creative insanity...hell, as evidenced at E3 and in the game's credit sequence it may even replace presentation software in corporate environments. It's got a lot going for it. I hope it delivers.

I am pretty sure R1 and L1 allow you to flip between pages. I think it was mentioned in one of the tutorials.

A few things I have not yet toyed around with:
Is there a way for me to view things you make? Maybe that's the heart system I toyed with somewhat?
Another neat feature I'd like would be the ability to save my content to a memory stick so I can FTP it to my webserver, so others can download it and put it on theirs. Would make sharing easy, anywho.

Do you save the levels that you make on your own machine before uploading them? Could people who have been making levels with the beta not just re-upload their favourites once the game goes live?
I have been doing my best to suppress interest in this game for some time, but I'm finally allowing its infectious glee to spread past my cynical protective layer and it won't be long before it liquifies my inner child...

I tried creating some stuff last night, and holy hell is it ever a challenge. I am having a hard time building anything with the tools so far. Just wanted to make a simple tank I could push around and ride on, and learned right away that it's pretty hard at first.
