Reported by Fox News:

GREAT BEND, Kan. — A Kansas man whose girlfriend was physically stuck to the toilet in their home wins $20,000 in the state Lottery — for the second time this year.

Kory McFarren of Ness City cashed in his winning $2 Bonus Crossword ticket in Great Bend Monday. On July 29, the 37-year-old McFarren received six months of probation after pleading no contest to misdemeanor mistreatment of a dependent adult.

McFarren called Ness County deputies in February to report that his girlfriend, Pam Babcock, had refused to come out of the bathroom for two years. Authorities found her stuck to the toilet.

Medical personnel estimated Babcock had been on the toilet for at least a month and said the seat had adhered to sores on her body. She was released from a Wichita hospital after several months of treatment.

I don't get it, how does somebody stay on the toilet for 2 bloody years! And why does Fox News think that his winning the lotto and his girlfriend's toilet incident belong in the same news item?

I see they've applied the Family Guy episode writing technique to their news stories now. Next we'll have a random flashback paragraph in the middle of a news story about the election.

This (disturbing) story actually hit a few months ago, and the news that he won the lotto was a recent follow up on it.

It's being done in a typical "See, horrible people are the only people who actually win the lottery" style.

Now he can afford to put a bed next to the toilet, and maybe a mini-fridge.

I heard about some woman who became physically attached to her couch, as in she sat there so long the springs became embedded in her ass. That's not a woman, that's a parasite.

That's not a woman, that's a parasite.

You sure it wasn't the couch that was the parasite?

Because I remember that story. It's funny that it's the same person.
