Story via IGN:

Long ago, when the PlayStation One reigned, Konami released Vandal Hearts. A tactical-strategy RPG, Vandal Hearts gained a decent following, but the series disappeared following the release of a sequel in 1999. Ten years later, Vandal Hearts is back, with the same focus on tactical gameplay. A prequel to the original, Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment is expected to be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network by year's end.

I absolutely adored the original Vandal Hearts and a strategy RPG of that caliber is something Live Arcade could definitely use. This is actually the type of title I wouldn't mind buying for $20.

Edit: I just remembered there was already a VH2 and apparently this game is a prequel. Still, more Vandal Hearts is a good thing, even better as a download one.

This is a complete from-scratch VH? 800pts is the sweet spot, but it's obviously going to be $15 or so with XBLA inflation. Bionic Commando Reloaded was a completely overhauled awesome remake and it was only 800pts ($10). Depending on the game length and content (not The Maw short) I'd be fine with $15.

Also, I think there was a CoG news post or two about this, one by Gorvi. I've seen a couple but I haven't read up on them.

Welcome to a few days ago! (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=7449);) This is on PSN and XBLA, btw.

When I saw your title I actually thought it was a port of VH2 for XBLA, in which case I was going to post a warning that the game was total ass. They tried to do a system where you moved at the same time as the enemy, and that just led to a ton of confusion and needlessly long battles where you'd circle the enemy over and over trying to hit them.

It's due in August on XBLA and September on PSN. Why the delay, I have no idea.
