Describes how some of those crazy 4chan guys were able to hack the recent TIME poll for most influential people in government, science, technology and the arts.

Soon afterward, it was discovered that the Time.com Poll didn’t even range check its parameters to ensure that the ratings fell within the 1 to 100 range. The autovoters were adapted to take advantage of this loophole, which resulted in the Time.com poll showing moot with a 300% rating, while all other candidates had ratings far below zero.

Ha ha, thats awesome.

Although.... its kinda sad that they have nothing better to do. Its also kinda funny that TIME magazine didnt have any good security, but I guess its probably a difficult thing to achieve without locking out real voters.

Agreed. Awesome.

I wonder if Time will try to wipe out those autovotes again, or at least report on how its own poll was hacked.

Shows how ridiculous online polls can be.

This was hardly a "hack" since all it required was manipulating a URL. It was a good learning experience for Time though I'm sure. :p It was actually pretty tense there for a while when the Rain fans were using autoloaders as well.
