View Full Version : Microsoft Hardware has Excellent Customer Service

In a complete shock, I have recently received excellent customer service from Microsoft. I don't know if I got an untrained rep that was bending over or if this is standard policy, but here's the story.

The mouse wheel on my beloved Microsoft Habu recently began acting up. Sometimes it wouldn't scroll on a notch, other times it'd scroll twice. It was getting noticeable so I emailed Microsoft for an RMA. Within 24h a rep emailed me back and said a replacement was on its way.

So I get the replacement aaaaaand... same problem, but nowhere near as bad. I have to try to notice it. A few days later the same rep emails me back asking if I received the mouse and was satisfied. That was surprise #1 - a follow-up. I email him back, explaining the (less frequent) problem I still had with the mouse wheel.

His response? "There appears to be a defect with the Habu mouse wheel. I will send you a Microsoft Sidewinder Gaming Mouse as a replacement."

I didn't even have to ask. I don't have to send my Habus in. I have a 99% perfectly working Habu and now I'm getting a Sidewinder.

Anyways, that's awesome. It's nice to hear positive things about MS customer service, even if it may be rare.

I actually have had an awesome experience all five times I've had to get my 360 replaced. Seriously. I love their customer service.
