SE12 EP08: The China Probrem
After watching the opening ceremony at the Olympic Games, Cartman comes to the realization the Chinese are only days away from attacking the U.S. With the rest of the American people haunted by the memory of a recent tragic event, only Butters will stand with Cartman as he confronts the Chinese.
Well, it's back. IMO, The first half of season 12 was a mixed bag. I enjoyed episodes like Tonsile Trouble, Over Logging and Major Boobage but found Britney's New Look and Canada on Strike to be almost unwatchable. Tonights episode looks like it could be winner... ...and somebody is going to get raped.

I was just wondering when the show was returning, thank you for saving me the trouble of Googling!
I didn't watch much of the first run of season twelve (or much of seasons 9 through 11, for that matter) but I am a big fan of the first 7 or so seasons. I like the show better when they are just being kids rather than trying to make some kind of point every week.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just prefer to laugh at my comedy shows.

I liked Canada on Strike, mainly for the showdown between Taye Zonday and the dramatic prairie dog. The Britney Spears ep was intolerable. Most of the others were ok.
Seasons 2-8 of Southpark are my favorite thing ever. All the rest are hit or miss.
I remain cautiously optimistic about new ones.
Fine, Canada on Strike was a great episode. :D
I didn't like it much because I think I was tired of the whole writers strike fiasco and I felt this was just another comedic parody of the situation. Honestly, it felt 'lazy' to me. It kind of wrote itself.

Pretty bad. Half the episode was a rehash of a previous plotline (I wont spoil it), and the other had one or two laughs and then ran out of steam.
Sorry guys, I love south park, including season 12, but this episode sucked bad.

Oh, yeah. I always forget that website exists. I used to go there a few years ago before they started having entire episodes there because you could download wav files of random sound bytes and stuff.
I try to watch stuff on our TV as much as possible. Even though it is just South Park, everything's more enjoyable on a 42" Sony Bravia. :D

Was quite fun to watch with my girlfriend who is Chinese.
Also, I know the Lucas/Spielberg stuff was a rehash, but how many hostage situations has South Park had too?
In just recent seasons I can think of the one with Oprah and the one at the historical village.

I found the rape scenes funny. Rape isn't funny. But to change the movie they saw into those scenes was just funny to me. Hell, AIDS wasn't funny until LEASE the musical or Jared had them. I never watch the show for them to pull punches. The episode however was almost like the episode where they attempted Lucas and Spielberg from redoing their movies.

That was one of the few things I liked in this episode. I like it when Butters and Cartman have scenes together. I loved the episode where Cartman thought Butters was gay because he put Butters penis in his mouth. That was a great episode.

I laughed so hard I had to gasp for breath at one point. I was really thrown off at first by all the talk of rape, but the second i figured out they were talking about Indian Jones, I laughed until it hurt. I don't think I've laughed that hard in years. Then Butters has to chime in that he though it was good, and I friggin lost it. Fell out of my chair, rolling on the floor.
The Indiana Jones movie was a friggin travesty and honestly, the rape scenes seemed almost appropriate. I cringed, but seriously, Lucas and Spielberg have ruined the movie franchises they've tryed to rehash. Its a god damned crime against film as an art form and i'm glad someone's had the balls to point it out.

The chemistry between Butters and Cartman is the redeeming factor of the episode. Overall, I have enjoyed season 12, but this is one of the few low points. The Lucas/Spielberg thing was overplayed, and rehashed. The rape scenes were a little too graphic, but still pretty funny for the most part.

The one at the bar was the second one, and you're right, that was The Accused. The third one in the woods was from Deliverance. The first one, where they take his shirt off and then throw him on the ground, looked sorta familiar but I can't quite figure it out.

The Guinea Pig stuff is about all I found amusing with it. Craig said some amusing things here and there, but it was mostly about cute guinea pigs dressed in costumes. The second half of this season has yet to have a really good episode.

I think this is much worse than the first part. The first part was mediocre but at least it moved on. Part two just lingered on the same handful of jokes (Stan being "startled" and making a big deal out of everything, the costumes, Craig being pissed) and not one of these jokes were funny at all. None of this was made interesting at all and makes me think that South Park has gone the way of The Simpsons and Family Guy.

The boys must embrace the latest fad to hit South Park Elementary or risk their status as the coolest kids in school. Stan could lose Wendy if he doesn't get involved, and Cartman would rather kill himself than join in on the fad. I have not watched the previews for this episode but I'm guessing we are going to see a parody of Disney's High School Musical based on the title. At least I hope that is what it is going to be.

I just saw this week's episode... and I wasn't really that amused. I think Cartman making fun of Scott Malkison was the only time I really laughed. That, and the "Butters is more popular than you" line. That was genious.
...and random kids started following him trying to get him to sing.
I liked that stuff too.
It was a decent episode, not over the top funny but amusing.

I haven't watched many of the new episodes of SP before tonight. I started getting bored watching this episode, it wasn't that funny and the singing was annoying.

Was funny. CoD was classic. I actually kind of liked not having the main four in most of the ep. Butters was funny all throughout.

N.L. school board warns of possible South Park prank on red-headed kids
By THE CANADIAN PRESS
ST. JOHN’S, N.L. — Newfoundland’s largest school board is warning its staff to be on the lookout for attacks on red-headed children today because of a prank that appears to originate from the television show South Park.
An Eastern School District spokeswoman says principals were told earlier this week to be “on heightened alert for any inappropriate behaviour” after the board became aware that today was “Kick A Ginger Day.”
Mary Tucker says the idea appears to come from an episode of South Park, where characters gang up on and kick a red-haired child.
The board learned of the prank through several accounts on the popular social networking website, Facebook.
Tucker says several schools have already reported receiving phone calls from concerned parents about the alleged event.
She stressed that any violent behaviour would not be tolerated.
I had to warn my brother. I need to protect my day-walker niece :)

Kids are stupid. They didn't get the moral of the show. Ginger kids will fuck you up.

I wasn't a big fan of the vampire episode. Most of the time I just kind of felt bad for the goth kids. So much for season 12 going out with a bang.

I think the moral of the story is that Canadian parents are as bad as American ones.

I thought it was funny. I thought it was about Twlight. I liked the Hot Topic song.
