I am sad.

Ah yes, the mighty Creme Egg. I swear, I must spend a small fortune on the damn things each year. But then, the local supermarket does boxes of 12 for £1.

What exactly makes them "sinfilled"? Do you fuck the meat before you eat it?

Wait... You don't fuck the meat before you eat it? Man, you don't know what you're missing.

Not meant to eat meat on good firday hence the sin in going out to burg partly just out of spite... well not really every one was burgin' hard but we where meant to go on thrusday but changed it to firday because it was more fun and we expected it to be less busy than normal :D

You mustn't ever let propriety stand in the way of flavor, good sir.

Heh. I'm very nearly grossest myself out now.

The best part of Easter is putting up the picture of Jesus before I bang my girlfriend. But yeah, those candies are cool too.

Easter is the one time of year I actually eat chocolate. Something about Easter Egg chocolate is just...better.
Or maybe it's just that I go for a year without it, so it just seems better.

As for the religious aspect of Easter, I couldn't even tell you what Easter is supposed to be about from a religious standpoint. So it's safe to say I don't do anything special on that front.

Because...Jesus likes to watch? It's been awhile, but I don't remember hearing that part in the ol' Sunday school lessons.

Easter is one of the western holidays that just hasn't caught on here, at least in a retail sense. Damn shame. Used to love chowing down some eggs.

The best part of Easter for me is the sex. Lots and lots of celebrating the rites of Spring. Woohoo pagans!

Without pictures, your religious education was sorely lacking:

Cadbury also makes THE BEST random commercials:

I love those commercials (not as much as I love creme eggs, though!), but it bugs me that they have NOTHING to do with Cadbury at all. They don't even make much sense with the "Glass and a half full of joy" motto.

All the same, the airport one got "Don't Stop Me Now" stuck in my head for WEEKS.

Awesome. If there were more commercials like the gorilla one on tv, I'd watch more of it.

The gorilla commercial is one of the greatest things I've ever seen in my entire life.

Also, I'm glad to see boratika spreading the Jesus on a Dinosaur love.

I can't stand those eggs. Ridiculously, over the top levels of sweetness, plus the fact that it is supposed to simulate eating a raw egg. Fucking gross. I've suggested that they should include a little gummy chicken (or rabbit) fetus in there to max out the weirdness.

That's a great idea. Now explain to me how we make candy cigarettes addictive!

This might be a little too obvious, but have you considered nicotine?

Incorrect sir! Technically the vernal equinox was March 20th, and I celebrated then too :)

The rituals of Eostre (no I didn't misspell Easter) happen on the vernal equinox, but since some people think we need to observe this day, I'll celebrate here too.

My buddy and I are in my car. We just picked up a handful of creme eggs with the groceries I bought, and we're on the way home. He looks thoughtful for a second, and says, "You know how Willy Wonka had that contest where you had to find the Golden Ticket to get a tour of his factory?"

Me: "Yeah?"

Him: "And you know how sometimes you crack open a real egg and it has that blood and the little chunky thing?"

Me: "You sick fuck."

Him: "I'm just saying it would be a cool bonus. It would be food coloring in the Cadbury eggs, not real blood. And then you could take a tour of the factory if you found the Bloody Egg!"

Since then, I can't help but think every time I bite one open that I'll have the one with the bloody egg yolk/chocolate fetus thingy in it.

Someone once told me an egg is like a chicken's period. Hence the blood. Enjoy.

Myself, I dont like creme eggs - too sweet and too gooey. I bought one of those big Guylian eggs which came with a small box of those seashell pralines - favourite chocolates in the entire world. I also bought a monstrous hollow egg which had pieces of fudge in its shell. Alas, I didnt get to eat any of it, it was a present for someone else.
