After last week's bait and switch the Dollhouse seems to be back in control. What happens next?

Told you jerk faces that it wasn't a reset! Also, all the haters can go suck it. It's awesome.
Next week no Dollhouse :(

What I think is interesting is that the Dollhouse is trying to return to Status Quo, the show makes a big deal about how there is a WAY THAT WE DO THINGS, but it keeps deviating from it. I am also noticing that the imprinting process seems painful now.
I didn't totally get the NSA infiltration scene, it kinda came out of nowhere, but it was quite awesome.
The format of the episode with the non-linearity was well done, with the format of showing what a day in each Doll's life is like. I think Victor's was the most interesting, gave us insight into one of the characters. Then again, Echo's story also gave some good shit too.
We found out what the Attic is, we find out who the spy is, we see the Attic procedure. We get some good plot development. I really see this show going places, but I don't know if it will have all the time it needs.
But so far from 6-9 we have had some fucking TV... just like Elisha said we would.

Fixed that for you. The episode was good, I enjoyed how everything tied together.
Plus: Elisha in a dominatrix outfit:D

Did we? I mean, it hardly makes sense for Dominic to hijack the dolls to talk to Paul if his mission was to protect and stabilize the organization.

HAHA! You're right, we can suck it. :)
It's unfair to call people haters just because they didn't like last weeks episode.
So far, there are parts of the show I really like and parts I really don't. I was extremely glad to see Echo still have some flexibility after last weeks episode. Like I said last week, imo her character has been weak up to that point and I didn't want to see her go back to being just a doll with a mild case of awareness. It gives me hope that her character is getting a little more freedom.
One thing I don't like is every episode has someone having sex with a Doll. I understand of the technology existed we would have high dollar doll prostitutes but can we have a few episodes that are focused only on action? I'm curious to see how Tahmoh Peniketts character will handle November now that he knows she is a Dollhouse spy.

Probably not. Sex seems to be one of the main driving forces of the dollhouse and its owners so far. After all that way they can control the rich and powerful.
I think he'll blow it at some point. Then Echo or Alpha will save him.

He did say that if it weren't for him Paul would have discovered the Dollhouse already. I suppose he's trying to get Paul to trust the dolls and then lead him on wild goose chases. I'm not entirely sure on that point. But it did cause him to lose his badge which probably really hampered his ability.

Now to be fair, last week's episode was a victim of advertising. It was a good episode on it's own, but as the grand awakening that changes everything we know about the show, it was weak because nothing changed.
I do like the theme of the attempt at the status quo and that always being upset and the constant struggle to get back to the routine.

This was delicious TV. A pretty good week for TV this week really between this and Lost.

I don't (get to) see the ads. I wasn't disappoint with last weeks episode. My main problem with it, I guess was that it was sandwiched between two better episodes. In fact thinking about the way shows are advertised, I'm pretty glad I don't have to see misrepresentations of what a show I'm already going to watch will be like.

I didn't call you guys haters specifically. I was mostly talking about those "It sucked in the beginning" douches.

Whedon explained that Dollhouse is not a feminist show, as to make it explicitly adhere to any set system of belief would make it didactic instead of dramatic. When an audience member asked whether he saw it as troublesome that all the actives were unfailingly young and gorgeous, he acknowledged this to an extent, mentioning that early drafts of the show had involved actives of all shapes and sizes to reflect the fact that people's fantasies don't always adhere to Hollywood's conception of attractiveness, and the beautifying of the Dollhouse was one of the realities of dealing with Fox. There had been an entire early subplot about an active named Tango who was an older woman, but sadly all of that had to go when the show's direction changed.
Now can you suck it?:p

Hrm. They must not have seen November/Mellie yet. Now, I'm not saying Miracle Laurie is hideous or anything, but she clearly doesn't conform to the Hollywood/Burbank definition of gorgeous.

Is that based on only viewing the pilot? Mellie wasn't known as a doll yet then.

That's a good thought. I don't know the answer, as muddi didn't link to the original, and I'm too lazy to hunt it down right now.

No, I meant having all the Dolls "TV pretty" to satisfy fox, but then having her turn out to be one. As in sleeper casting.

But she isn't thin like a rail. She has the look of the "friend" girl on another show. So it's nice to be able to see her doing romance and sex. The script also seems to know that she isn't drop dead sexy and that Helo is "out of her league".
I also think that Dominic was the source leak. He was trying to maneuver for The Dollhouse to fall under NSA control, and getting FBI guy insider leaks was a method. I also like how Topher seemed surprised by Echo's willingness to get imprinted, as I get the feeling that no one at the Dollhouse really fully understands the full extent of their technology yet. They are basically running a closed beta test.
I like how this show does mysteries, we are guessing motivations and logic, and not guessing weird shit like "what is the creature" I also get the sense that we will get answers to our questions by the end of the season, and even more in Potential Season 2.

Actually he lost his badge because he went after Patton, and that would have happened regardless of what happened with the stealth-program in Echo.
