I held off on posting this yesterday because of...well April Fools's Day. But the stories are true: Filefront is back.
Just least week we learned that Filefront, the file download service run by Ziff-Davis Media, would be shutting down (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=6945). Now the original founders of Filefront have announced that they have reacquired the site from Ziff-Davis. This change in ownership means that Filefront will not shut down as expected, and all files on the site will remain accessible.
The new owners assure us that neither the shutdown notice from last week, nor the rebirth yesterday, are jokes in any way. This is for real, it was just by necessity announced at a very inopportune time.
