This weekend saw the Baltimore Comic Con, which while it isn't a huge show, had it's fair share of announcements. Thanks to Newsarama (http://www.newsarama.com/) and CBR (http://www.comicbookresources.com/).

Dan Slott new writer on Might Avengers; Christos Gage going solo on Avengers: The Initiative.
We've known for a month or so that Bendis would be leaving MA, to take on the absurdly named 'Dark Avengers', but the revelation that Slott would be taking over the book is a pleasant one. Slott is one of the hottest writers at Marvel, and a real fan favorite. His 'lighter' sensibilities (and I use that term under some duress) fit well with the theme of Might Avengers, which Bendis described at launch as the 'hitting people book'.
Black Panther relaunching after Secret Invasion, with Reggie Hudlin still writing.
Hudlin's work on this title has made him something of a punching bag on the internet, although not without some reason, so some are going to be unhappy about this news. I do like that the book is supposed to go through some big changes in the wake of Secret Invasion, but not enough to get me to buy it.
Spider-Woman: Agent of SWORD will launch in March
Bendis writing, with Maleev on art is a good start, and the character (whomever is in the suit) has been front and center for a while now. Sounds like this one will be very espionage-y.
Ultimates 4 is coming post-Ultimatum, with Frank Cho on art
Yaaawwnn. Oh, excuse me, I dozed off there for a sec
Lots of teases for the post-SI era which will be trade-dressed as 'Dark Reign'.
Lots of teases, but little solid info. All of the solicits going forward for a huge chunk of the MU will be redacted until Secret Invasion #8 drops.

A round of specials were announced to support the 'Faces of Evil' theme running through the DCU in January: Johns & Kolins on Solomon Grundy, Sterling Gates on Prometheus, as well as specials on Kobra, Despero and Deathstroke. All of these villains will play a big role in the DCU in 2009
I loves me some bad guys, so I'm all for this one. No other creative teams were announced, but I'm going to guess that Rucka and Meltzer will be writing the Kobra and Deathstroke books respectively.
The Superman books will be one big tapestry
We've heard most of this before, but it's still an...interesting step. They're even bringing back the 'triangle numbers' like they used in the early 90s. The enthusiasm all of the creators are exuding may be enough to get me to pick up Supergirl (but I doubt it!).
