Well it's getting to be lunchtime here, and I am making a mighty sandwich for consumption. I started thinking about ye olde lunch thread, so here's a new one!

For me, today is:

slice of wheat bread
lettuce
1x slice bologna
1x slice cotto salami
2x slice genoa salami
1x white American cheese (d'oh! I'm out of Swiss!)
spicy brown mustard
slice of wheat bread

Enjoyed with a Diet Coke and a side of Sun Chips

What are you having for lunch?

Today I had a turkey sandwich; four slices of turkey, a slice of American cheese, mustard, on white. Kind of plain, but I didn't really feel like buying proper sandwich supplies this week. With that I had broccoli and cheese.

Just thinking about eating bologna gives me a headache, I don't know how any one can eat that stuff.

Anyway I'll probably be making myself a sandwich as well most likely ham or possibly tuna, Cheddar or Mozzarella cheese on sour dough roll with tomatoes, avocado, pickles, spicy mustard and mayonnaise. I'll also be enjoying a side of raw broccoli dipped in blue cheese dressing.

Notta. I generally do not eat until dinner time, might have a snack during the afternoon. I will probably make turkey tacos tonight. Or perhaps whip up a batch of my roasted garlic alfredo sauce and make some pasta.

I made up something similar for dinner last night, garlic Alfredo noodles, a turkey fillet and some garlic bread. It was so awesome there's a good chance I'll be making it again tonight.

Damn it! Now I'm really hungry, time to make breakfast.

One large pizza will last me roughly four or five meals.

Is canned anything ever as good as home-made? :)

Unfortunately, I've never had home-made menudo. By the time I came around to willingly eating tripe, my grandma wasn't cooking much anymore, and my mom has always steadfastly refused to make it. We get some pretty good stuff in Roseville on the weekends, though.

Juanita's is not the best menudo I've ever had by a long shot, but it's tasty, and when you've got the craving, it's better than no menudo at all. It's about $4 for a 30oz can at Safeway. Add a $1 can of hominy and some chile flakes, and presto! Dinner.

I would not recommend the Pico Pica brand, though. It's about half as expensive, and (unsurprisingly) about half as good.
