Steam is running a sale on Ubisoft games all week (http://store.steampowered.com/news/2368/)! Today, Assassin's Creed (http://store.steampowered.com/app/15100/) is $9.99!

Hopefully, FarCry 2 comes up as one of the sales.

I'm thinking Tuesday's will be the new Prince of Persia (http://store.steampowered.com/app/19980/) as it is 50% off right now.

EDIT:
CONFIRMED! (http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Ubisoft/)

It's Farcry 2 today ($14.99). I may be getting a new card soon that comes with this so I'll pass, I own it on the 360 anyway.

Also, FarCry 2 on Steam still has the SecuROM 5 machine install limit.

I am contemplating whether or not to buy Far Cry 2. I loved Far Cry, but I am not sure if my current PC can handle the game on medium-high settings. For those of you that have the game, how well do you think the game will run on this PC:

Intel E8500 (overclocked to 3.6ghz)
Geforce 9600GSO 768mb
4GB DDR2 PC-1066 ram

I think that if anything the graphics card would bottleneck it.

The weekend deal is pretty sweet: Ubisoft Classic Pack with the following 4 games: IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946, Dark Messiah Might and Magic, Beyond Good and Evil, and Far Cry 1, all for 10 bucks.

I've not heard good things about the PC port of BG&E.

I played the PC port of BG&E when it first came out with no problems. I've never tried it on Vista, however.

I've beaten it on the PC. Some issues arose, but were easily fixed. Go to the 1up.com boards for some fixes. Good repository for that stuff when they did their 'backlog'.

Anyways, I have a copy of BG&E to gift (Already had it on Steam) if anyone wants to get it for free.

Wow. Didn't know you were one to gloat ;)

I have a 6300, 3gb RAM and 8800GT and I run it just fine.

Looks like the GOG version of BG&E has a fix (http://www.gog.com/en/forum/beyond_good_and_evil/quick_bit_of_info_for_anyone_having_sync_issues).

Anyways, thank you for the reply! I went ahead and bought it.

I just bought it and can't figure out how to gift it. Right clicking it doesn't seem to work.

As far as I know, the only games you can gift through Steam are Valve games. You are just out the money if you buy a non-Valve game over again.

Yeah, I'm on Vista64 and I had a problem with texture flashing at first, and that was fixed by following these quick steps (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=682893). But other than that, the game works fine and looks great.
