One of the better aspects of EvAv of old (that's fun to say) was gaming nights, specifically the Gears of War and GRAW before it. I'll never, ever forget "Booooorder Patrol", "there's beans in the burrito", etc.
So let's do it, and do it CoG style.
I'm right, right?

Can't we do it Co-Optimus style?
GRAW (http://www.co-optimus.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=552)?
RB6 (http://www.co-optimus.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=951)?
Et cetera, et cetera...

Gears nights were probably the only game I regularly played multiplayer. I'd try things here and there, but we probably did a good 10 months straight of weekly Gears - a break for Shadowrun that fell apart, but Gears held on strong until COD4 (and TF2 for the PC folks)

I'm all for this. Gears night, ahoy! Well, whenever g2 comes out.
Um...I have Halo 3? I think that's the only multiplayer game I own. GTA 4 too, perhaps.

I wouldn't mind another GoW1 night or two in preparation for the release of the sequel.

I'm sure Lekon is just itching for the return of the chainsawing. Hopefully with the duels, though, it will be harder for him.

Seconded. Those are the only two multiplayer games I still have.

I would love for Tuesday Night GRAW (hell, I still called it that even when it turned into Gears, force of habit) to make a reappearance. The suggestion of having a few for Gears 1 before Gears 2 comes out sounds good to me.
Make it so.

You don't even have to ask about a Gears 2 night. I know of a solid 10+ people that will be there every night...no question. :D

Gears 2 will probably be the first 360 game I'll have properly played in multiplayer since Gears 1. CoD4 was the next big thing but I got that on PC, so I missed out on the XBL lovin'.

I missed out on GoW 1 multiplayer so you know for damn sure I'll be there for 2 (and any 1 playing you want to do before then.)

This actually gives me a great idea for a feature on CoG. Have some sort of user-editable calender where people can schedule gaming events. That way it'll be easier for people to check out and track what is going on without having to search for individual threads.
Edit: Ooh, and having some form of "sign-ups" would be cool as well.

This is a great idea. I often am wanting to play something but then can't find anyone to play with (I have no friends :() Be really nice to just pop on here and quickly check out who's playing what at that time.

If enough people were around to play some Halo, I'd be in. Otherwise I'm stuck trying to cap Alchemy on my Druid...

Y'all need to get better PCs and get on TF2 nights. 24 of "the crowd" throwing gibs and insults back and forth via all-talk.
I am there sometimes, and am getting a mic soon, honest

And FINALLY! A mic is required on the TF2 server.

I thought it would be that way, but he pointed out that he usually sneaks up behind. I can't wait for gears 2. Won't be the same without quickie though.

I'm a n00b, but I do have a copy of Halo 3 and a copy of Gears. I'd be honored to be a target for you fine folks.
I'm ready for Gears 2, no doubt. The last game I played on any consistent basis was Halo.
I can borrow any games from my store, so I'll play anything with you guys. Anything.

I would be up for a reinstating the Halo night if there is enough interest in it. Let me know if you decide to do it. :)
