Because I have had NineCard and I really hate it now! So I need something new and cool sounding!
I'll quote from Joe Versus the Volcano: "You say to me you want to go shopping, you want to buy clothes, but you don't know what kind. So... who are you? What makes you stand out, or what hobbies do you have? Do you have a childhood nickname you want to defuse by embracing it? Or a hero you want to pay tribute to?
I do find it ironic that your PSN name is Halo32 and your Xbox name is not.

I would have just assumed that Halo 1 through Halo 99 were all taken (at least).
My suggestion would be make up something unique. Many of the users on CoG have a name they can carry through everything because nobody else it trying to get it.

Sadly, Xbox Live does not allow many of our names. Everyone has to do some weird variation. Mine is Roguality, though, I think I want to create something new instead.

I knew a guy we called Nine and a Half, but he was missing part of a finger. Sorry got nothing, but mythology has some nice characters to pull from if you find one that hasn't been taken. My GamerTag's actually a reference to Greek mythology, but I had to change it a bit.

Without knowing more about you, I'm afraid we can only do as well as the random Live name generator. Pensive Monkey and Rancid Ferret may still be free for the taking.

If you don't really care what it is, you could google gamertag generators (or band name generators etc.) and get a random jumping off point. For example, I just gave this one (http://www.burnoutaholics.com/?q=node/4) a test drive, which suggested I use "Screaming Eliminator." I found this to be eerily apropos, and now I'm off to make a doctor's appointment.

Take your first 2 or 3 letters of your first name and combine them with the type of car you drive. For instance, if your name is Gary and you drive a Dodge Neon (heaven forbid), you could get Garneon. Ryan and you drive an S-10? Ryastin (or something like that). Be creative. I heard of this trick on the radio when Phantom Menace was coming out to theaters when I was a senior in high school, and it was supposed to be your Star Wars name. Guess what I drove in school? That's right, a Subaru Legacy. That's the stupid origins of my name, and it stuck.
I think Ninecard is just fine personally. Better than paying 10 bucks to change something as silly as a gamertag.

I had noticed your new tag on Live and had a feeling I'd sort of sound insulting when I posted that--not my intention. :) You're on my buddy list so you're good--I know who you are. But when an outsider reads your name they will think of it as "Ate One". Put it together with Bone, and I think there's a joke there somewhere...
Trust me, I know. And yet, it works in some ironic, meta-Live way. I have embraced teh suck.
