Dismay, all ye hoping for an RTS with an awesome control scheme! :(

Ubisoft has informed IGN that it has no plans to release World in Conflict: Soviet Assault to any console platform this month or anytime in the future. The PC version remains unaffected and will see a release later this month.

Soviet Assault's Xbox 360 and PS3 cancellation may be surprising for some, but for us, we questioned the project's console plans as of late. After the big Vivendi / Activision merger, Massive Entertainment's recent history and Soviet Assault's early delay, we knew something was up. Video game journalists just know these things. We call it "game-cancellation-intuition."

The game was supposed to come out around Q2 this year.
In related news, here's a sweet new trailer for World in Conflict: Soviet Assault. (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?p=199743#post199743)

Not surprising. RTS sales on the consoles haven't been stellar so far. I'm curious to see if Halo Wars can break the stigma. Of course, it will be endless debate as to whether any success that game sees is due to the Halo name or Ensemble's great work.

Too bad, the Real Time Tactics style and base-free gameplay of World in Conflict could be a good match for consoles.

This shit wasn't news. You knew it was going to happen. I do wonder if Massive will be getting the next version of End War on there plate.
