Just wanted to take a second and introduce CoG to LUCY! She's a soft-coated wheaten terrier, and outside of the terrible, unbelievable noises she made while we tried to get her to sleep in her crate last night, she's awesome! Since her parents were never bred before there's no kennel name, so we got to pick her full registered name: Banana Stand Lucille 3! :D

There's always money in the banana stand...

Lucy vs Oliver the kitten - epic standoff...

...that lasted about 0.5 seconds before Lucy charged.

Oliver knows he can always retreat to higher ground...for now.

Awesome name! Now if only you can teach it to do a terrible chicken impersonation....

Stand firm on the crate, good sir! Stand firm! Our shepard-collie mix screeched her head off when she was a puppy and we locked her in there.

After our dog fight last month our dogs have been living separate lives, and they alternate nights out. Jessie the shepard now loves her kennel so much that she will sometimes hop off our bed and spend the night in there. Perfect for toilet training and a safe place to hide!

Also, is your cat declawed? I can't imagine that fight going well with the razors up front.

"Has anyone in this family ever even seen a chicken?"

IF - Oliver is NOT declawed! I don't think he's been using the claws though, and if he is Lucy doesn't seem to notice. She's even taken more than a few double-back-foot-super-kitty-rabbit kicks to the face and has just kept on trying to bury her nose in the kitty's belly.

The crate thing is tough, but after a few days she'll hopefully get used to it. She has no problem getting in the crate or even sleeping in the crate, but man...as soon as you close the door, she SCREAMS. It's one of the most pathetic and terrible (and annoying) noises you've ever heard. Last night it got so bad that I finally moved the crate across the room so it was right next to my bed. She had only been in there once before we had gone to sleep, so she definitely wasn't used to it yet (plus the whole "first night away from mom, dad, and five siblings" thing), so I figured giving in a little bit was probably the only way to get her to calm down.

Here's hoping for a better night tonight!

Best show....ever.

So glad Cera finally signed on for the movie.

I love that in the presence of whatever sets them off cats immediately become amateur boxers.

That puppy is adorable.

Awwwwww, what a cute puppy! She looks so soft and fluffy.

Has she gotten used to her crate yet? How's she doing?

I'm glad the kitty is playing nice! The cats I grew up with were not shy about claws and they were not adjusted to dogs, so they were pretty liberal with the old SNIKT action.

She will get used to the crate training. It is one of the two really useful things we did to our dogs. The other was we taught them the command, "Go see Wil" or to go see my wife which is very useful to make them leave a room or to lure them someplace.

He is cute as all get out, and if he is super curious and friendly now I think he'll grow up into a really sweet dog.

rini - we left her alone twice today in the crate for about 45 minutes each time while we ran errands. The first time, she very loudly screamed bloody murder the entire time until she fell asleep. The second time...success? We came back and she was quiet, so we praised her to high heaven. Here's hoping she does well tonight! :D

IF - We're actually really surprised that Oliver the kitty is playing nice. He is an awesome little cat, but he completely thinks that he rules the house. He is about 4 times smaller than my roommate's other cat (literally...the other cat is HUGE), but that doesn't stop Oliver from HUMPING him! We had no idea that cats even did that. Last night when we brought Lucy home, one of the first things she did was put a paw on Oliver's neck and make very feeble humping motions in the air. It was hilarious, and also a little bit awesome since Oliver needed knocked down a peg or two.

And now: updates!

I feel a little goofy making a thread where I just talk about my puppy, but man am I excited! :o Anyone have any pet pictures they'd like to share? Bonus points if they involve hilarious kitty on doggy action!

Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of my cat beating up my uncle's dog when he decided to being it over.

Is this a show off your pet thread now?
