I was pretty involved in carving and other types of sculpture when I was younger. Here is a stylized soapstone carving of a sea lion I made when I was younger:

I Also did a bit of scrimshaw back before the Endangered Wildlife Act was enacted. Got some sperm whale teeth from an odd place on the Seattle waterfront called the Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe.

The second pic is of a ship called the Gay Head. It was named after a town located on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. They've since renamed it to Aquinna; who knows why. :o

The combination of Gay Head and Sperm Whale teeth makes my immature side giggly.

I thought the sea lion was a nose at first, but fine craftsmanship none-the-less.
